Questions & Answers
To make a quilt with batting, start by laying down your backing fabric (the "pretty" side down, so it will show on the quilt in the correct direction). After that, you'll set up your batting cage. Then you place your quilt top on top of your quilt (with the "pretty" side facing up). Then, as you work on sewing it all together, you go around using safety pins to connect the three layers. To go through all three layers, use larger safety pins and make sure you grab the back layer before bringing the pin back up and fastening it. Make sure you stop every now and then to double-check your alignment. Then quilt your quilt using a machine, by hand, or simply by tying knots in the corners of your block with yarn. They also sell batting adhesive that you can spray down between your layers to keep things from shifting, but depending on the size of your quilt, you may or may not need it. I hope this information is useful! You can find a lot of "how to" videos on YouTube to help you understand it better!
No, it doesn't have any loft, and it's only about 1/8" thick. You'd have to fold it several times to get it to fit. Could I suggest putting a 1/2" foam pad under your quilt to give it the same thickness as carpeting?
This is a fantastic batting performance. It's something I use all the time.
It comes in handy for a variety of quilting projects for me.... Table runners, placemats, and quilts are all available. For me, it's a good fit.

If you want to be rewarded for your efforts, warm and natural/warm and white is the way to go. It's a joy to work with this material because it's so soft. I recently finished machine quilting three throw-sized quilts using Pellon brand batting (which is stiff and difficult to work with). Hobbs brand rips and pulls out of shape as well. Stick to products from the Warm Company, which you can rely on.
This batting product is excellent, but when I ordered it, I received the Warm version instead. NOT the Warm, but Natural As a result, he didn't fit the bill. Warm is what I'll use. Eventually, natural, but for this particular project, WHITE was required.
I usually buy it online because it's hard to find in brick-and-mortar stores, and this batting is fantastic. It's light (so it's easy to quilt), not puffy, and warm.
This bag of batting was purchased solely for the purpose of making table runners with double layers. Next year, I'd like to make each of my sisters a table runner for each month. Every month, they'll be pleasantly surprised to receive a table runner. I'm really excited about it, and I'm going to start this year so I can get a head start!.
I bought the white to make a quilt with an off-white background. I was thinking that the Warm and Natural would darken the white fabric. Although I was disappointed that this batting appeared to be a little thicker, it worked out fine.
Quilters love this brand because of its whiteness and high quality.
To us quilters, batting is a critical component of the quilting process. Warm Company is one of my favorite things in the world! It's super soft, warm, and lasts a long time after being washed!.
I only use Warm and White quilt batting. Use the best batting you can find if you're going to the trouble of making a quilt. The material is thin and easy to work with, but it is also quite warm.
