I'm currently learning how to print with a linocut and I recommend that you listen to the professionals if you are also studying. It was at first my intention to use less ink and I thought "HA!. " and then I changed my mind. This is stupid, I don't need to roll it out! All I have to do is brush the brush over the brayer and I'll It's not happening. I'm not the one you should follow. Those who have been doing this successfully for a long time are the best people to ask about it. Once you have rolled out your ink, apply it once smooth. There is a major difference between the two. A decent print has finally been obtained, after giving up on my stubborn way of doing things. My favorite thing about this place is that it's easy to clean. The palette I use for my rolls is an old metal palette, although glass has been used in the past. It would be fine to use any smooth surface.
My daughter really enjoyed using this printing ink for her middle school science project. Not only is it very easy to clean [since it is water soluble] but it also makes her work look very clean and well-done. The printed version. Her Rubber Stamp Carving Blocks worked very well with it as it adjusted very well to the paper's texture. If you pass your fingers over it, the ink will not run. For your viewing pleasure, I have attached some pictures of her artwork using this ink. Many of the textures that appeared on the paper were caused by the stamp and the type of paper. In addition to the glossy finish, the ink also has a matte finish. There is just enough ink to print tens of thousands of pages with it. Before using the ink, I would recommend that you use a rubber roller to smooth it out. As an aside, too much ink can cause the art's finish to be less clean than it is supposed to be.
It is very old and a bit tacky, but mine is not? This was an order I placed when I was surprised at how tacky the ink was. Upon looking at the back of the bottle, I was surprised to see that it is a 2007 bottle. This ink is 13 years old, so perhaps that is a factor in making it gummy and tacky, and therefore difficult to use to make.
This is what I use to teach my students how to print their hands. Additionally, this is just the right size to be used by clients.
It is amazing.
I would buy it.
As far as I can tell, I still have the majority of it left. It's thick and fun to work with, but it makes a LOT of mess if Mixing acrylic with Solvent is not a good idea. In spite of my trying to mix it with acrylic for the sake of experimenting, the ink disappeared with it. As if the acrylic was a cleaning agent for the ink, the acrylic was used to clean the My head is spinning, but I think it was the water in the acrylic.
