The kit is good, but the screens aren't up to par

The kit comes with adequate tools and four screen sizes, but I failed to notice that the screens are stapled on rather than being attached with a cord. This effectively renders them useless unless the screen is replaced with a staple gun. There is a picture of the back, but you have to look closely to see that staples are used. Is it a good investment? If you're just curious about screen printing and want to see if you catch the bug. Yes, go ahead and take a chance. That's what I did, and it bit me!.

The term 'kit' is deceptive - it refers to a set of instructions

contains only a portion of what you'll need to screenprint. This kit consists solely of screen printing accessories. It doesn't come with everything you'll need to screen print a shirt, and the instructions are confusing. I would not recommend it to a novice. I had to do a lot of research before realizing that I didn't have the paint, emulsifier, or other materials I needed to make a print.

Unfortunately, the net is stapled to the frame, so if you ever need to replace it, you'll have to remove the staples and use a staple gun to replace it. Due to the use of staples, this frame will not last long.

Everything washes well and the wood outside frame is stained but that's fine. Frames come in a few sizes so there's versatility for your projects. I used speedball paint and it worked beautifully but I went slowly so as not to streak my shirt. It can get messy but take your time. Overall, this is an excellent starter set.
