In my opinion, it will last for a very long time. If it starts to yellow, I wouldn't use it anymore.
Whether it will work on a sewing machine I cannot say for sure. However, my sewing machine technician says that if there are oil ports in the frame for routine oiling, then this oil should be used. It does not have oil ports, so I need not use any oil when it comes to my other Juki.

As a better value than 3inOne oil, I chose this product. To coat and oil my tools, this product works well for me. I have a lot of tools, so I wanted a product to use to coat them and oil them. The bottle I received had two pin pricks from which oil leaked. As you can see from the photo of it on my doorstep delivered by Amazon, it is stained with oil on the top corner. Because of this, it probably lost between ten and twenty percent, which is why I only gave it four It makes one wonder where those pin pricks came from. As a result, I deducted one star in the value for money category, however I am satisfied with the product and the price I paid. Also, I bought it 30% cheaper a week ago on April 19, 2020, so I feel it was a good value for money purchase.
