I have a mousepad that is longer, thinner, and narrower than this. And most important, you don't have to worry about the sewing petal moving. Velcro is used to attach the pad to the velcro. You can use velcro on the underside of the pad to keep it from sliding on carpet, or it has a rubbery backing to keep it in place on solid surfaces. That's what I'm all about.

My sewing machine foot pedal was sliding away, so I needed something to hold it in place. Perfect! Thanks a lot! There is an additional Velcro strip that is provided so I put it down the middle of the pedal (underneath, obviously), and the pedal stays securely stuck to the Velcro surface on the upper There are two of these, one for sewing machines and one for quilting machines.
In the past, the foot pedal roamed under my sewing machine table, and my foot had to look for Having such a nice looking and very practical foot pad is a delight. By using this device, the pedal is always where it belongs, and I am not frustrated by searching and pushing back my chair to look for it. The gadget is awesome!.
The product was not worth the price. I had predicted this would be much larger than what I found. Because I did not read the dimensions, I erred. In the future, I won't buy the product. As a result, I don't think it will improve my ability to chase my pedal. (Attached to that piece of carpet) Now I chase it around. My tile floor is tiled so I don't want to remove sticky residue after I stick it to it. I haven't yet applied it to the floor since I may want to move my machine. In order to prevent the rug from slipping around, it would have been better if the bottom of the mat had something on it like the pad you put under your rug (over your tile). Because of its lack of staying power, you will have to tape this to your floor or else you won't be able to use it. It also wouldn't work on a few of my machines because of the shape of the foot pedals. It is cheaper to double stick tape your pedal to the floor than to buy a new pedal. This method is more effective. A cheaper alternative. You're less likely to become frustrated.
There is finally something that works to keep the foot petal in the same place, instead of going all over the place and wondering where it might end up. The design of the site is quite nice and it looks quite good too The materials seem to be of good quality. When I made curtains and drapes for my living room , I used it for the first time Up and to the side Let's go down & up Up and to the side This way. There was a foot petal and it was right there Imagining where it wandered off to under the sewing desk did not even cross my mind. I really enjoyed sewing a lot more now that I had that problem taken care of.
The table is in my sewing room, which has carpeted floors. The machine is easier to find under the sewing table now that the pedal is located under the table rather than under the In fact, my sister has the same mat and she does not like Floors in her apartment do not have carpeting. It appears she did not use the included velcro, and that, in my humble opinion, was the problem. In my opinion, whether the product is carpeted or not, its success is largely attributed to its velcro attachment. The mat will slide on an uncarpeted floor without velcro even if it does not have a backing The way things are, it's the way they are. No matter what floor you have, you ought to use velcro regardless of the type of flooring you have, and that will work just.
In order for my pedal to stay in place, something had to hold it In order to hold these pieces to the pedal and the floor, you'll need to use Velcro. There is still some sliding if you don't use the velcro on the floor. I strongly recommend buying this because it works so well.
The red one was more expensive because I liked it more because my sewing room is red, but originally I had bought the more expensive one thinking it would be better. It tells me that it uses velcro straps, but any thing I have bought with velcro straps never works for me. Nonetheless, I took a chance and am so glad I did, this is by far the strongest velcro I have come across. Is it because stores do not sell velcro like that. It is evident that my hardwood floors don't move an inch and stay like that for years. As in it's firmly attached to the wall. It is a very high recommendation to buy these.
It has been impossible for me to find a non slip material that works. There is nothing to complain about here. It is not bulky or oversized. It is also very reasonable in price.
