I have a singer 401a with two pins, and it works
Selected User Reviews For Sew-link Power Cord for Singer 201, 301, 319, 319W, 401, 401A
After I purchased a 1952 Singer 301A, which did not have its own power cord, I found this one and crossed my fingers that it will work. Once I received it and it fit like a glove, I was thrilled. During the last two years, I have used the machine almost every day with no issues.
A cord sticks out toward the front of the Singer 301. The plug is of high quality, but the design doesn't suit the machine. Due to the cord being made in reverse, the cord comes out of the machine from the front, instead of around the I think it's a bad design mistake.
This cord replaced a 70 year old cord on a Singer machine that is 70 years old. The chord fit and worked perfectly on my Yamaha 2 Anniversary Edition machine. I was skeptical I could find a chord that fits an older machine, but it fit.
A 1956 Singer 401 power cord was perfectly suited for this model. In comparison with ordering from one of the online vintage sewing machine parts shops, I received the parts faster and at a reduced price.
It is sturdy and fits perfectly. I highly recommend it.
I was able to plug it in and run the machine despite the loss of the power cord.
A 301a is in process The server returned a 1 and It is much easier to install a new plug than rewiring an old one.
