Questions & Answers
You are correct it is an identical product
I have never done any research to know the answer, but an item treated with Retayne will need to be treated again if other bleach is used on it and eventually the bleach will remove the Retayne treatment.
There is no expiration date on this bottle, and other Retaine products do not seem to lose their effectiveness over time. I have only had this brand for about a month, so I cannot tell you for certain.
The answer is yes. It is possible you will need two or three different treatments for the huipils because they are dyed with fugitive dyes that come off very easy. When applying Retayne to water, it must be at 140°F. In the event that she has fully treated her fabric and there is no color rubbing off after it is completely dry, she needs to wash the item in cold water from then on.

The first thing I did was wash a small yard of fabric without using Retayne to demonstrate the effects to my family. all firmly believed that the Retayne I needed for my burgeoning sewing business had to be on hand at all times. The fact that you provide this in larger quantities is so that it is more affordable and that I do not have a myriad of tiny bottles littering the ground of my washing machine.
I like this method because it works well.
It is very easy to check the checkbook for a half gallon size!.
