For oil painting, I like this brush. It's stiff enough to keep the paint in place and distribute it evenly. However, it is a little more expensive than I would like.
While I prefer a filbert-shaped artist brush to a flat artist brush, There are times when the flat is the best option. With the current Amazon Prime price for this brush being less than 25% of the regular retail price, it is worth buying a fe br>br>The DaVinci brushes that I've purchased have always met my expectations. This is a lovely brush to use. I don't usually purchase brushes with short handles, but I found this one on a warehouse sale for a great price and decided to give it a try. I've ended up using it a lot more than I anticipated, and I really enjoy it -.
These appear to be well made of good quality hogs bristle and are short enough to fit reasonably well in my pochade box. My only complaint is that the brush's sizing is slightly different (smaller) than that of other brushes I've used.
Because it was advertised as a size 12 Flat, I expected it to be a little bigger. Even so, you can never have too many brushes, and this one is fantastic.

This hog bristle is of excellent quality. Although I did lose a few hairs at first, it has served me well. Given the reduced value of some of the available sizes, I ordered a few more.
