Questions & Answers

I'm looking for a no. 2 brush that will keep its point when used with gauche watercolors for hand/brush lettering. Is this a brush that you would recommend?

I find that the Windsor Newton series 7 2 works well for me. Be sure to keep it well hydrated with water. In lettering, we pull a trail of watercolor onto a while plate, let it dry, then pick up the paint with the brush parallel to the dish. This works for me, and I've only recently discovered it. However, I am not a specialist. However, it was from him that I learned it.

Is it possible to buy a set of these brushes?

I'm aware that they sell brush sets for travel.

What makes the Prado and the Versatil so different?

Both brushes are synthetic, but the Prado is better for watercolors, whereas the Versatil was designed to be more "versatile" and can also be used for oils. Escoda brushes are excellent, and I've used both and can't tell the difference. The Prado is said to be a little more stable.

Is this suitable for painting on canvas with acrylic paint?

It's designed to be used with water. If you look up acrylic paint and paint brushes on Amazon, you might find this brush. It's an incredible brush that I only use for water coloring. Controlling it is a breeze.

Although it was a good brush, it had been damaged
3/5

These Speedball brushes are of high quality. This one had been tampered with, most likely at the factory. When the plastic brush cover was applied, some of the fibers split and were not covered, resulting in the brush being ruined. It was simple to get back there. My account with Amazon has been credited. Because the Speedball brush in the size I needed was out of stock, I ordered one from a different brand.

At first use, I was completely smitten! I've been experimenting with a variety of round brushes from various brands, such as Princeton and Silver Black Velvet, as a watercolor newbie
5/5

This Escoda round brush in size 8 is by far the best I've ever purchased. The bristles are extremely soft, but they come to a very fine point for fine detail work. Despite its small size, it holds a lot of water, and it's one of my smaller size 8 brushes. I'll see how it compares to my Rosemary and Co brushes, but I think I'm in love with this Escoda brush. I'm considering purchasing more because they're also reasonably priced for the high quality!.

Brushes by my preferred brand
5/5

After experimenting with a variety of other watercolor brush manufacturers, I've discovered that Escoda is the best for me. They're simply easier to control than other brands, and they come to a fantastic sharp point, in my opinion. For detail work, there is no need to switch brushes. I had a 12 for about a year and only recently received a 10. I'm putting money aside to purchase a bigger one. I'm not going to switch to another brand, no matter how much cheaper it is. These are well worth the money. I would strongly suggest it.

The product was poorly packaged
3/5

The brush looks good, it's the size I expected, and it appears to be of good quality, but it was poorly packaged; it came in a box with no protection for the bristles, so it arrived all messed up; I'm attempting to repair it, but I believe it is damaged.

This paintbrush is of good quality
4/5

Escoda is a paintbrush manufacturer known for its high quality. This is one of the best brushes I've ever used. The hair's ability to hold thin paint is only matched by the brush's lovely appearance. The protective cap was applied incorrectly, resulting in some of the brush's hairs being splayed, which is why I deducted one star. Hopefully, a month of gum Arabic will take care of the issue.

It makes me very happy
4/5

I started painting with watercolors a few months ago and quickly realized that I needed to upgrade from the starter set of brushes I'd bought. I tried a couple of store-bought varieties that were decent, but they didn't seem to work. So I did some research and decided to try a few different things, including blends, pure synthetics, and Kolinsky sables. I couldn't justify spending $300 on a size 12 series 7 Kolinsky, so I settled for a 6 and an 8 in that style, and this one in size 12. I was not let down. A fraction of the cost, beautifully crafted, and capable of holding water, though not as well as Kolinsky sable hair - The action, on the other hand, is the same. An easy recommendation for someone like me who can't justify the cost of the higher-end natural hair brushes in larger sizes but still wants the benefits of the higher-end brushes.

This is a fantastic watercolor brush
5/5

I recently purchased my fourth Escoda Prado Sintetico watercolor brush and am extremely pleased with it. I have two rounds, one filbert, and one flat; the rounds and filbert have sharp points, hold a lot of water, and snap easily. The flat has a chisel edge to it. They are not cheap, but if you want to improve your quality, you should give one a try.
