When I started out with , it was the first thing I bought
5/5

The book I bought when I began to use alcohol inks is my favorite. The product seems to work as claimed, but I am able to get the same benefits from alcohol. Under $3 for a 16 oz bottle of 99% alcohol, I feel no guilt about squirting it all over the non stick mat as a cleaning product! As far as my art goes, I find it to be similar to using it, though I have not tested the blender pen yet.

Despite its good qualities, Adirondack is a little more expensive than I would like
4/5

It is a good product, but it flows rapidly from the bottle and gets used up quickly, and it is expensive. Generally, I prefer the Copic colorless blender for its price. It gives you a little more working time than alcohol alone, but you can get a similar effect if you mix alcohol (91% or higher) with glycerine.

A simple glass of plain alcohol works the same as distilled alcohol, and is a lot.

This is a very sticky issue
3/5

Whenever I work with alcohol ink art, I always wear gloves. When I use this blending solution, the cap and bottle get sticky and blending solution gets on my gloves, which then become sticky as well. As a result, I often have to change my gloves since my fingers are so sticky that I cannot hold things properly. As a substitute for rubbing alcohol and an eyedropper, I use rubbing alcohol to blend my art. This is also more affordable.

The bubbles become lighter, it blends, and it lightens. There are some flowing effects produced by this. Having fun with it is one of my favorite things to do.

Alcohol is not the only thing that's involved
4/5

There is, in fact, a difference between using plain alcohol and the blending solution. Its finish is different, and it does not crack as easily as traditional materials. My personal preference is to use it when a little more accuracy and predictability is needed. The product is fine, but I wish it weren't so expensive, but a brand of its type is always going to be pricey.

I find it very helpful
5/5

It doesn't seem to make sense to me. I really like it. While I'm not sure if it is supposed to be this way, I do not like the way the applicator tip is bent. If I forget the applicator is bent, I have accidentally dropped the solution in the wrong place.
