Lightweight fabrics (lace, silk) should be used with Lite SAS. When working with heavier fabrics, SAS is used.
I live in a very dry state and have used this product on a regular basis for many years. I recently finished a roll that was more than five years old and it was still in excellent condition. It dries out a little, but it's still usable! My wool appliqué quilts have won blue ribbons, and I only use this product.
It works well for applique, but it is not washable. If you have appliques on top of other appliques, I only use as little steam a seam as possible, because it can be stiff if you have appliques on top of other appliques, but it works great! I've been using it for years and love the product, and I've used it to make several animal-themed baby quilts. The edges, on the other hand, I usually satin stitch.
SAS2 comes in a long roll that is 12 x 40 yards and comes in a box. I believe they have some rolls that are 24" wide if that is what you want. br>All of the packages are smaller, such as 8 x 11". I see where you're coming from. Read the description below carefully, then compare it to the one on the package. It's an excellent product, and smaller packages are available at Hobby Lobby.

I've been using this product for a long time and decided to buy a large roll to keep on hand, but I believe it's dried out now. Either the stock is out of date or it was not properly stored. The first side sticks to the fabric with some effort, but the second/last paper side peels away as well. It's a pain to work with on this big applique quilt I'm working on. I've been sewing for more than 60 years and am familiar with the process. I suppose I should have gone with heat and bond, but I've found that it's good for wall hangings but a little stiff for a quilt, so I'm clearly disappointed in this purchase, which appears to be made by Warm and Natural, so keep that in mind if you decide to order such a large roll and pay over $100 for a so-so quality.
During the pandemic, I did a lot of appliqué and am a big fan of steampunk. This is why I swam. The only criticism I have of the rolls is that the top layer (the one on which you trace your pattern) has ripple. This makes getting a precise tracing more difficult. I've discovered that I need to remove that layer and reattach it while smoothing it out.
The Seam and the Steam I've been using Seam2 for a few years and really like how it fuses to the fabric and can be moved around before being fused to the permanent background fabric. What I like best about the fusing piece is that it can be moved around.
I'm so glad I went for it. I really like this product because it does exactly what it says it will. This is my first time buying and using a product of this nature. Because I've never liked the raw edge, I usually do my applique on my embroidery machine. However, I designed a quilt that required applique but was too large for my machine frame to accommodate. This was incredibly simple to use, and even when the needle pierced the material's edge, none of the threads split. I adore it, and I'm more interested in applique than ever before.
Steam a Seam 2 is one of my favorite games because: br>a) simple to usebr>b) simple to reposition before pressing in place permanentlybr>c) light weight - perfect for most applique workbr>br>This item's quantity and price make it ideal for all of my holiday projects.
For easy applique, this is the best so far. If you're doing small projects with lots of blanket or satin stitching, there won't be any residue, but if you're doing large projects with lots of blanket or satin stitching, there will be some gum on your sewing machine needle. The product, on the other hand, is unbeatable, and this large roll produces less waste and is more user-friendly than individual sheets. Oh, and it's also fantastic for sewing clothes!.
This is the best stuff to use if you're doing applique. I enjoy being in charge of the roll. It lasts me through my projects, after which I order another to ensure that I don't run out. SAS2 is one of my favorite programs because it allows me to pick up a cut piece and move it around until I get the exact look I want. I've been a loyal customer for a long time.
I've been using this product for a long time, but I used to buy packets that contained a large number of sheets. This is the first time I've bought a large roll of toilet paper. The adhesive does not adhere to the fabric after it has been removed from the paper. I've been trying to finish an appliqué project and needed to use spray adhesive instead; I'm wondering if these rolls are old and have been sitting in a warehouse for too long. I'm not sure, but I'd advise you to put money aside.
