These are what I use to make ear loops for face masks that are adjustable. I couldn't get the elastic through the small hole until I started using a locking hemostat (also purchased on Amazon). That makes the job a piece of cake! These cord locks are also extremely durable. I haven't yet broken one while attempting to thread the elastic through the hole.

The "one size fits all" masks were difficult for me to use because they never fit everyone the same way and the elastic was extremely uncomfortable - Either the fit is too tight or the fit is too loose. I knot the elastic after pulling it through the cord lock with a Bobby pin. You can't feel them behind your ear, but they have a firm grip on both 1/8" and 1/4" screws. Elastic is 1/4" wide. br>It was delivered on time and in the amount stated. More will undoubtedly be ordered.

For face masks, I used these rubbery stoppers on elastic laces. I found that the internal diameter of the stoppers is small enough to hold the elastic in place until you apply enough pulling force on the elastic to slide the stopper down or up. This is a positive development. However, the internal diameter of that same hole is so small that I had to use a "loop turner" to get the elastic through it in the first place. A small paper clip or a small safety pin were not accepted. It's a fantastic final product.

So far, I'm really impressed with these cord locks. I went through a lot of reviews before making my decision. I was debating whether or not to order. Several of my masks are either too big or too loose. To fit properly, the ear loops had to be adjusted. Due to a latex allergy, the earloops on most of my masks are made of the same fabric as the mask, making them slightly thicker than traditional mask elastic. These cord locks were simple to "install" and solved the problem of a loose fit. br>br>The procedure was simple and quick. easy. I used a bobby pin to secure the earloop. then inserted the bobby pin through the larger hole in the cord lock's end. Pull the earloop through the smaller hole and out the other side. It took some effort to get it done, but that's a good thing in my opinion. It gives me faith that once I get the lock where I want it, it will stay put. br>br>I did move the cord locks behind my earlobes instead of higher up on my ears on mine. I have spectacles on my face. They've discovered that this way, the locks don't get in the way. br>br>I clean my masks by hand. I believe these locks will last a long time.

I'm very happy! I've finally found a solution to the problem of masks not fitting because the elastic is too long or too short, and they appear to work with a variety of elastic sizes. I've successfully threaded both thin disposable mask elastic and 1/4-inch elastic bands - Even though it's a tight fit, it still fits! You'll need something to help you thread it through the small hole, so follow the manufacturer's instructions or use a thin wire or twist tie.

I've been using 1/8" elastic to make masks. With even a little pressure, the elastic will simply slide out of the hole. Some people suggest tying a knot in the elastic if it slips out of the end. This would work, but there would be no need for the cord lock. The goal was to have some fine adjustments for masks for people who don't have the dexterity to untangle knots. Would recommend for elastics larger than 1/8" (3mm) or when used in conjunction with another jobbie. br>br>The quantity, size, and colors of the products were exactly as described.

I make masks for a variety of people, including family, friends, and coworkers. workers as well as others It's either too short or too long of an elastic. The problem was solved thanks to these small details. I cut the elastic a little longer this time to allow for adjustment. The cord locks are easily slid over the elastic with the help of a bent paperclip, as instructed in the instructions. They are simple to adjust, but once adjusted, they stay in place. I wish I'd known about these when I was making over 300 masks. I'm still making masks, but these cord locks made such a difference in the end result.
