Questions & Answers
To find out what size bobbins Bernina 1008 uses, look it up on the internet. I checked and this appears to be the correct size, but let me double-check:
They're listed as being compatible with the 440.
I have a pair of B350s, and they're fantastic.
My model number is 1130. I believe your machine is newer than mine, so I'd check the product specifications or contact Bernini to find out what bobbin number you have.

I ordered these because the Bernina dealers closest to me didn't have an online ordering system for bobbins that didn't require calling. It was a real pain in the neck during the COVID shutdowns. Advantages: br>br>
- bobbins are less expensive than genuine Bernina bobbinsbr>- could easily place an online orderbr>- The ones that weren't bent worked fine in my machine and didn't skip stitches. br>Cons:
- It was a unique experience. I weighed them and found that they were both the same weight, but there were minor differences that were significant.
- Because of how my bobbins were packed, the metal on the sides was thinner, and all of my bobbins were slightly distorted on the sides. Two of the bobbins were bent on the sides to the point where they couldn't load thread and wouldn't spin on the bobbin winder.
- The rollback of the spindle hole was thicker, making the winding of a true Bernina bobbin sound consistent; however, each of these had its own distinct sound. There are no two alike. I can't prove or disprove it, but I believe these aren't evenly balanced because they weren't machined to specs before being dipped. In general, I'll go to the trouble of getting original Bernina bobbins the next time. br>br>In general, I'll go to the trouble of getting original Bernina bobbins the next time. True Bernina bobbins have a polished metal finish built to specifications, and these were chrome-plated. To compensate for the use of less expensive metals, the style was dipped in gold. Could you get by with these if money is a must? Yes, as long as there aren't too many lost in the packaging bending. I can't say they're bad because 10 of the 12 worked, but you pay a premium for quality when you buy the original. br>br>I included a few photos to show the differences in spindle rollback, texturizing, and edge warping/bending.
These bobbins aren't the same as the ones that came with your Bernina sewing machine. These bobbins, on the other hand - which I received after almost a month - are made in China and shipped out of there. If I had known how long it would take to receive these bobbins, I would not have ordered them. They do, however, work in the Bernina machine, so if you need bobbins quickly, you should probably order them somewhere else because they take so long to arrive.
I just hope I don't forget to put them in my B350 machine. The bobbins are unbalanced and do not wind evenly (I've been sewing professionally for years; don't lecture me on proper winding), but they do the job for me. One of the bobbins arrived with metal bits protruding from the wheel where you post the bobbin to wind it by machine (see photo), so I'll wind it in a different way. Otherwise, it will become stuck; the seller is unconcerned about this.
Four of them aren't going to work. It's obvious that the one in the picture is twisted. Three of them won't fit on my Bernina sewing machine's bobbin winder, while two others will fit snugly but work. They are clearly labeled as being compatible with my Bernina 1130. br>br>I just threaded two of the remaining bobbins, but they don't work in my sewing machine, so I bought a lot of bobbins, but only half of them are useful. Not to mention the thread that has been squandered. The remaining bobbins have been tested and appear to be functional.
I'd give it a 0 out of 5 star rating if I could. The product was terrible; it didn't fit my machine, despite the fact that it was listed as compatible with my brand and model. Some of the pieces were twisted and misshapen. There's no point in this.
Even on a bobbin winder, it would not fit. They're being returned.
Well- crafted and useful My Bernina sewing machine came with five bobbins, and they don't work with standard bobbins from a hobby store or even a fabric store that sells Bernina machines. It was possible that going to the nearest authorized Bernina repair shop was an option; However, I did not want to make a special drive. br>This allowed me to sew in all of the colors that I require. I'll return here if I require additional information.
These bobbins are of excellent quality, which I have previously purchased. My sewing machine is a Bernina, which is a precise, high-quality machine that requires high-quality bobbins. I intend to place additional orders. Thank you.
