It does a great job of holding the hook in my hand for long periods of time. The wooden handle feels very sturdy, and the smooth finish fits perfectly to my hand. I love that it isn't bulky or heavy like some wooden hooks. As you can see, the plastic hook is almost the exact opposite of the wooden hook. It is cute to have a strong pink handle, but it also feels a little Because it is straight, I find that it feels strange at first. However, I crochet and almost always use straight handle hooks. I got the impression that the plastic wouldn't last very long as well. Now I don't know for sure but that is what I'm seeing. I gave it four stars because the wooden hook far outweighs the plastic and I think it is worth the price alone, as it is worth the quality alone. In an emergency, I would keep the plastic for a latch hook emergency that would be You'll love it!.
This crochet needle is the same one I use to create crochet braids in my hair. It is of a better quality than the needles you get from your local beauty supply store.
My disappointment is deep. I've had it for two days, and on top of that, the wooden surface already broke up, and the small moveable metal part is missing. Plastic ones do not have a wide metal flip enough to grip the pre-cut yarn to pull it through the canvas, and have a very small metal flip. While I know they weren't very expensive, I think they are not worth the amount they want for them. To get me a sturdy latch hook, I had to go to a local craft store, Michael's. Had I done that before ordering these, I would have saved myself some money.
It was disappointing to see that the hook wouldn't allow me to crochet my hair as I was using both needles. Hence, the proposal for intended use has been defeated.
My mouth is watering at the sight of It's great to have the option of two sizes. As I have very small hands, the smaller hook will be perfect for me, but for those with larger hands, the hook with the bend in the shaft will be better. Having two options is very helpful.
I used it to do my hair and it worked.
It has a wooden handle that is fine. There is another latch hook that isn't as sturdy as I would like. It is very light and fragile, and I don't.
Hooks are a great price and you get 2 for the price of one, which is cheaper than most other places.
