Questions & Answers

Is the floss to be used for sequins? as if the gap is too small for them to fit through?

Yes, the floss is made up of a single strand of the six-strand strand. Thread it onto the kit's narrow needle (or a similar size that will fit through the sequin and the beads), then knot one end. Go from the back to the front, passing through the dot. Go back through the sequin with a bead and dot to the back of the fabric before knotting it.

Is this a one-piece stocking? Or do you sew the stocking together along with the rest of the stocking?

The stocking has a back that is not visible, as well as a base (blue color) to which all of the components (truck, trees, etc.) are attached. The content is sewn to the base, which is then attached to the backer. I hope this information is useful.

When I began working on this stocking, I discovered that the turquoise blue felt had gone missing. What should I do in order to obtain this single item? Isn't it the case that I've already begun?

When I needed various pieces of felt, string, or sequins to finish a stocking, I went to the local hobby shop. I've completed so many that I've filled a small suitcase with extras. All of the felt and sequins are sewn on by me. They're quite lovely.

A lovely stocking for the holidays! I've made Christmas stockings for my husband and me, then for our two children, five grandchildren, and now I'm finally making one for our daughter-in-law
4/5

law and son-in-law law! br> The quality of the felt in these kits is particularly appealing to me. Even for a beginner, the instructions are quite detailed. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the two kits that I recently purchased. Almost half of the beads could not be used because they would not fit over the needle eye. There were a lot of deformed white sequins that I didn't want to use. Knots were used to join two colors of embroidery floss! One needle was completely bent, but they both had tiny eyes, so threading them without a needle threader was impossible! I contacted customer service, and they informed me that more sequins and beads would be sent to me. This business is very accommodating, and the people who work for them are friendly and helpful! br>I also bought a few iron-on patches. on the back of the finished stockings with "Made by Grandma" labels! br>The stocking design is adorable, but it necessitates a lot of embroidery, appliqués, and time! These stockings look absolutely stunning on the fireplace mantle at Christmas!.

As a gift, this is fantastic
5/5

Ok, this isn't a craft that can be completed in a couple of hours; I usually work on them for two hours every day around my schedule, and I only get to make three or four per year, so plan to devote some serious time to it.

THIS BRAND OF KIT IS AMAZING
5/5

This is the only brand of kit that I will use to make stockings for all of my grandchildren. Not only is it of excellent quality, but the instructions, printing, and felt are also of exceptional quality. I've used other brand kits before and found them to have poor instructions, insufficient parts, or lines that are difficult to see and cut out. Spend the money on these kits if you want to make things easier for yourself. They don't let you down.

Additional thread should be purchased
3/5

This is not a product for those who are just starting out. It had been a long time since I had made one. I was a little out of practice, but there were some issues with the template. When I tried to combine the top and bottom, it didn't work out. The pieces did not properly overlap at the bottom of the front. As a result, I came up with my own solution. If you look closely, you'll notice that Santa's brows are different. There's a holly on top of that. To hide the odd gaps, I did that. I'd used up all of my white, red, and blue. thread in a dark green color Also, there is no batting included. I didn't exactly follow the pattern for the backside because the parts of the tree would have been cut off if I had. It would be too flimsy for a truck. would become tangled. I stitched the back to the rest of the white fabric. The cut is freeform. This is a lovely stocking. My child enjoys it, but the printed templates are incorrect. It was driving me insane.

Perfect!
5/5

This kit was fantastic. I made this stocking for my husband for Christmas (I didn't want him to feel left out because everyone else in my family has a felt kit stocking) - I had a lot of fun putting it together because the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I'd recommend getting some stuffing for the pieces that need it - Initially, I used cotton balls, but pillow stuffing would have been far superior.

It's too difficult
3/5

It's too costly. It's too complicated. For a newbie like me, there's no way. You must be an expert craftsman. It comes in pieces and will require cutting, sewing, beading, and sewing. That is not the case for me. It's probably best to start from the beginning. I got personalized bice ones for half price and wish I could make them myself. Returned.

Read this first and then take my advice! : Stocking is lovely
4/5

The instructions need to be tweaked; they say to applique and embroider before adding sequins, but I didn't follow them exactly. If you skip some steps, it will be difficult to sew the sequins, applique, and then attach each piece. Because felt is not durable or strong, I will most likely use a backing of some sort to make the stocking stronger. It was pretty and I thought it would be fun to do! Because thread has a tendency to knot, use shorter pieces. This is the first kit I've ever made.

Each year, the quality of these products improves
5/5

For over 20 years, I've been making these stockings for the family's new babies. Thankfully, the instructions are avoiding sating stitching. The quality of the bead thread is where I notice the most improvement. In terms of quantity, the beads have fewer defects. The threads are silkier, making it easier to pull apart, and unintended knotting is significantly reduced.
