Questions & Answers

This advent calendar doesn't seem to have the advent day on it. What kind of ornament do you take out of a pocket and place on the top part of the hat? thank you. ?

In the Advent section of the calendar, all the little toys/ornaments you made go in each number. The number you made goes at the bottom of the project. Placing the toy in your pocket on December 1 is a good idea. The following are the results of the survey You do the same thing until you get to December 25, then the Advent is over.

Can you tell me how long it takes to complete this kit?

It is the kit I did last Christmas, Marla. About nine days were needed to complete it. I agree that it does seem like a lot of work, however, it goes by quick.

My instruction sheet seems to have disappeared. The things might have accidentally been thrown out by my husband. Would anyone know where I can obtain another copy of the book?

If you would like to receive the original instructions, Buccella can send them to you. They can be reached by dialing 1 Contact 1-800- I'm 842 The phone number is 4197, and it is open Monday through Friday beginning at 8 a.m. There is a five o'clock deadline. Give the kit number 86312 to them between 800 and 900 EST.

How did you seal the stockings with Scotchgard? What happens to the sequins and stocking when you do this? Please accept my thanks. ?

mother made me a stocking the year I was born, and it's been almost 40 years since she made it. Although the color has faded a bit, it is still functioning. There are only a few spots that need No scotch guard has ever been in place. It's a good idea to do this. The felt pieces could be scotch guarded before the sequins are sewed on.

You can create your own pocket stuffers by following those steps
5/5

It is time-consuming, but totally worth it! The first is that I've made four for each of my four children and eight for my eight grandchildren. As I got to the 4th one, I had cut a lot of time off by adjusting a few things. Several embroidery needles are required The ability to keep one color thread on one needle saves a great deal of time. There was a strip of heavy paper on which I put the different needles and colored threads. In order to attach beads, a very small eye embroidery needle is necessary. As this needle is hard to thread, it provides a time-saving feature by not changing thread all the time**2. Make sure the sequin color is the same on all pieces I liked it a lot but you should gather all the sequins and beads before you start. Don't cut the items out, just attach sequins and beads to uncut pieces, but I did piece a bit together I cut out all Santa materials, all train materials, all stocking materials, etc. and kept them all The third and final point is. Make sure you do as much embroidery as you can before the deadline If you can, do all the rust embroidery, all the gray embroidery, etc. It has been suggested by others to get a piece of red felt to attach the pockets to. Attaching each row horizontally (it can be handled by hand) is done by machine. Finishing the 3-row installation is done by hand A star embroidery vertical stitch was used to hold the white pieces of fabric. The first calendar I made I did not do this and struggled to keep items from falling through the bottom of the pocket because it This is 5. The dark blue piece attached at the top (like a starry sky) was desired by three of my kids, but the original look was desired by one. Add the blue piece for a more finished look and for a better hang. With a blue piece at the top on the top, you can almost cover the entire back with the stiff white piece included in the kit. There was a small piece of material that I had to cut out and sew to the bottom of the back, which is 6 inches long. It was not to my liking that there were duplicate pocket pieces included in the kit. That's no fun at all, is it? Therefore, I created 12 more pocket pieces for Christmas. You can see my versions in the attached photos. The angels are named after my 3 granddaughters, on the bottom of which I embroidered their names. Both grandson's received round elf pieces (green and red) with the corresponding color pieces attached on the back with their names embroidered on them. There are three older grandsons in our family, and each chose a unique piece of art. Three snow globes one with a penguin, one with an elf, and one with Santa, Rudolph, a snowman, a stocking, a wreath, etc. are all part of a traditional Christmas advent calendar. We are an U of M family, so naturally I made a teddy bear that represents the U of M. All the designs in this post were taken from Pinterest.
Use your imagination and personalize a few pieces to make them your own. In addition to signing and dating the calendar, I also added my email address to the back. This is 7. There were other posters who stated that this is a time consuming process, My grandkids are sure to enjoy this for many years to come, and I hope it will become part of their holiday I wish you the best of.

This is a five star review
5/5

The projects I've been working on are wonderful. There is no beginner's level for these. I just finished 3 at the same time. What I would like the next buyer to know. The materials weren't plentiful, nor were the clear beads or tan/light brown threads. If done 4 ply, as instructed, this would be insufficient. It is not clear what these pockets are supposed to be, and they Because they are real pockets, I decided to make them. Then I layered each square on a piece of red felt and attached each strip with the sewing machine. After adding the white running stitch between the pockets, go back and add it again. In the hearth area of the fireplace, I made a pocket between the back and the front and put a dowel inside it to make it more sturdy. It has about 225 pieces, so it is an intense project. There is a great deal to be done in the details. There's no doubt that it can be overwhelming. To avoid becoming overwhelmed, I suggest working in sections, following the directions, but thinking like you are working on a fireplace, Santa, a mantel, ect. It will give you a feeling of accomplishment and prevent you from getting overwhelmed with the task at hand. As in the other reviews, buying extra needles in different colors and having them threaded in the section you are working in will save you a lot of time if you do it for someone you love. Lastly, buy sharp scissors and buy extra needles. All that effort will be worth it when you see the result.

While I was away from it for a few months, I am back now. As for the pockets, I used my sewing machine to make them and added a full background to cover my stitches. The stockings have the names of my grandsons sewn on them, and I have a third one ready for an upcoming Every pocket piece is tied with ribbon so that it can be used as an ornament. In place of tassels, jingle bells should be hung at the bottom. My kit came completely put together, but I have extras since I do these all the time. My oldest. I ordered them from Walmart a long time ago and they are still in use.

My favorite part of this kit is the colors
5/5

My favorite part of this kit is the colors. In the process of completing my second, I have completed one so far. It was a bit troublesome because I didn't have enough of two colors of sequins and had to buy more. A needle was also not included in the kit. The needles you will need are an appliqué needle and a sewing As well as the fiber fill, some pieces will need to be stuffed. For the appliqué I started out using the nylon thread that comes with the kit, but found the strand to be a little thick for my taste, so I switched to regular spool sewing thread and was pleased with the results. I would estimate that it took me 65 hours to complete all of the work. It will take you a certain amount of time depending on how fast you apply the appliqué and bead. Just a hint to make sewing easier. Make sure you have an appliqué needle and an embroidery needle along with your appliqué needle. Keeping a needle threaded with each color is a good idea. The needles need to be threaded very frequently if you switch colors back and forth. This will save you time and more important, your Nevertheless, I did modify a little bit of the pattern. In reality, the pockets are not pockets at all. The ornaments are just attached by slits, and the felt ornaments just slide beneath the edge and adhere to their surroundings. It would be nice to have pockets where I could put prizes and treats. For every row of pockets, I cut one felt piece out of a craft store, which was the standard size. After that, I followed the instructions they gave me. It was a nice surprise to find 24 actual pockets to hold all those little gifts.
