This is my second bucilla kit, and it's for my grandson this time. A skilled sewer can easily adapt and modify the pattern if necessary. To sew all those sequins, I recommend investing in a bedding needle with a flexible eye.

I purchased this with the expectation of completing it by Christmas. It was a little more difficult than I had anticipated, but it was still doable. The only flaw I discovered was that the beads had a very small hole through which a needle had a difficult time passing. I eventually went to Michaels and bought larger-holed beads. I'd be making this Christmas stocking even if I didn't. Everything else, on the other hand, went off without a hitch and was simple to accomplish.

More than a dozen of these kits have been made. Because there are fewer small stuffed pieces, this is simpler than many others. To match the other ones I've made, I added a piece of felt to the top for the name.

I've made about 20 felt stockings, and this is by far the best felt I've ever used, and it's also a lot easier to work with. The instructions are in their entirety. It's a great project to be a part of.
