Since I knit socks, I decided to try this needle rather than knitting with double pointed needles. As a result of reading all the positive reviews, I decided to give it a shot. This is cool, I like it. I have no issues with the small size, and I am able to knit much faster than I could with After completing my heel flap on two DPNs and holding my instep stitches on the circular, I put all my stitches back on the circular and proceed until I do my toe decreases, when I again put the stitches on my DPNs to complete It is a fun project to learn if you are a sock knitter.
There are incredibly tiny needles but the cords are flexible and can stretch to a wide variety of sizes. Using smooth needles, I am able to easily move stitches around while I knit. I never feel like they are going to fall out of my hands or that the stitches are going to move as I knit. The socks are absolutely beautiful, and I am so glad that I took the time to buy two sets so I could knit my socks on the same needles. The knitting I am doing with these needles is a lot quicker than knitting with double pointed needles, and I am really enjoying it. I would definitely buy again and recommend it highly.
Chia Goo is one of my favorite snacks and I was anxious to try these. Knitting socks with DPNs is one of my favorite activities. I thought this would be a great idea for plain socks, especially for the kids. It was smooth and very easy to join knots on my size 1 needles, but 9 inches was too short for a good project. As the needles were so small, I needed just two fingers on each hand to handle them. I found it awkward and thought that someone with small hands might find it easier to use.
To be honest, I initially tried bamboo needles, which are my favorite knitting needles, but in this specific size, the metal ones work The products are HIGHLY recommended.
It will be the only way I knit socks from here on out! The process can be done much faster and there is no need for a long cable (Magic Loop) or to keep track of a bunch of DPNs. It does take some getting used to the way you hold it, and it hurt my wrists and fingers at first. After all, there's always tension on the needles, and there's only a very short portion you can grab onto to hold. I still like this one best!.
Every item from ChiaoGoo is of the high quality I've come to expect. Only problem I have with these little guys and it totally is me, is that my gauge is a little looser. I use the magic loop technique (and I love it!) when I am working on things that are too small for Toe up sock! I started out with Judy's magic cast (I guess I just love things like that! My working needles were 4mm) and 40" circulars, and once I had finished all my increases, I switched to 9" needles. Although I can see how people with large hands might find it difficult, I found it to be quite easy to learn. I was having difficulty because my gauge was looser than it should have been, like a quarter inch wider than a small sock for a woman. I switched back to the 40", just to make sure that it wasn't the pattern, and it turned out that my gauge had It was not my intention to use them on socks but I will still use them. It may be used for sweater sleeves for children. This might be of use to you. Although the product quality is excellent, it may produce a different gauge due to the fact that different gauges have different tolerances.
This size of needle is ideal for socks, tiny baby or doll sleeves, and tiny doll clothing. They might seem tricky to use because of their small size, but their flexible tips and short tips make them easier to use. They are a welcome addition to our team. There is one issue that I have with the seller he used a permanent sticker over the needle size label of the manufacturer. It was necessary for me to hand write the size on the package so I would remember it.
There are few knitting needle brands that can compete with Chinagoo, and this one I love the cords and joints on both the fixed and interchangeable models. Combination of two of the best. When you get used to it, this needle works great for socks once you learn how to hold it. If you're used to bigger needles or magic loop, this needle takes some getting used to. Needles from any other brand will not be purchased by me. It's great to have them around.
