Questions & Answers

What is the table's measurement? I don't see it on any of the websites?

It can be adjusted from 29 to 38 inches in height. The table measures 59" X 35" when both sides are extended. 8". The sides will be able to be folded down for storage. The storage space is 17 square feet. 5" X 35. 8".

Will it be able to support a 15-pound portable sewing machine?

It would hold it, but I'm afraid you'd get a lot of Shake if you ran your machine. I wouldn't sew on it because it isn't sturdy enough. However, it's fantastic for cutting.

Is there room for a sewing machine, or will this just be used to cut fabric for quilting?

There is space, but it is not something I would recommend. It's sturdy enough for cutting and such, but I'm not sure how good it would be for a machine. I love mine, but I don't use it for my machine because the ends of the table don't seem to have enough support. You'd have to put the machine in the middle, which would put the table legs in your way.

What are the dimensions that are left open?

This is the ideal solution for a sewing corner
4/5

I only got it in October, and based on the reviews, I was a little skeptical. It took me a few hours to put together, and the instructions are fairly straightforward. I like the height because it will hopefully relieve my back and shoulder pain, and I have a sewing and cutting corner in my bedroom. This was the ideal size for next to the sewing machine. Because I don't have a "designer" sewing room, I found this to be the most cost-effective solution if you're short on space. It's not particularly attractive, but it gets the job done. When I use a rotary cutter and a mat, it's a little wobbly, but it's not a problem. Overall, I am very pleased with this.

It wasn't perfect, but it was perfect for my space
4/5

To be honest, I think this thing is pretty cool. I use mine as a layout/cutting table, and I also work with a mannequin in a small space, so being able to cut fabric and then drop a leaf to make floor space for my mannequin is very convenient. I wanted to be able to pick a height that worked best for me and have some storage, so the table without the center shelves seemed a little too flimsy for my tastes. Don't expect to change the height of the table easily (you have to lay it down on its side and manually adjust 6 legs and it's AWKWARD and surprisingly hard to get on its side without the leaves flopping open) and the higher you put the legs the wobblier the table is because it's made of wood. It's not a project you'll enjoy. I'm only 5'4", so I only cut/work at this table while standing or sitting on a taller stool to keep it at the same height all the time. Also, a regular sewing machine should be able to support that weight, but I wouldn't expect to get a good workout by throwing Grandma's old TANK on one of the leaves. I also like having the center storage for extra machines/stuff, and the center top is about 14 inches wide, so I can keep my light, pins, and books on it even when it's folded up.

Massive work area- plenty of room to lay out fabric Adjustable height Collapsible You can roll it around to wherever you want
3/5

There are several advantages to this table, as well as one disadvantage that makes it inconvenient to work on. br>br>Pros: br>Extremely large work area- plenty of room to lay out fabricbr>Adjustable heightbr>Collapsiblebr>You can roll it around to wherever you want to workbr>The cutting and ironing mat add-ons are fantastic! br>br>Con: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is not the place br>Instable – When you're working on it, it sways a lot. When I say sway, I don't mean it'll fall over. There are enough legs to keep it from falling over, but each of the six legs should be thicker. I'm tall, so I set it to the highest setting, and it sways a lot when I work on it. I thought it might be too high, so I lowered it to the point where I'd have to sit or kneel on a chair to be comfortable, but it didn't make a difference. br>br>To buy or not to buy: that is the question. If you don't want to spend a lot of money or make it yourself (we're all crafty people), this is probably the best option you have if you don't want to spend a lot of money or make it yourself. It's likely that you'll grow accustomed to the situation. While I am not returning it, I would not have bought this table if I had known what I know now. I'm wishing I had just gone to a garage sale or looked on Craigslist for a used kitchen or dining room table.

It's the easiest thing I've ever put together
5/5

This company completely changed my perspective on flatpack furniture. Every board has a label, and each screw has a bag with a label. The diagram that came with the package was easy to understand. I didn't have to re-read anything for the first time in a long time. whatever you want to do I completed my task after an hour. I didn't require assistance from anyone. It was even possible to complete the final step, which was to flip it over. The table itself is sturdy and solid, and the wheels are easy to maneuver. I'm 5'2" and it's at the perfect cutting level at the bottom rung. Because the surface is large enough, I was able to lay out a single layer of Sailrite fabric and cut it with ease. I was also successful in removing the foam from my pillows. Years ago, I should've brought this. It is a fantastic item.

Although it is useful for a variety of tasks, adjusting the height is inconvenient
4/5

The table takes a little time to put together, but once done, it's fairly stable and works well for soldering and sewing with a modern lightweight sewing machine (I wouldn't put an old style, heavy, all-purpose sewing machine on it). It has a metal machine attached to it. It can also be used to cut cloth. br> br>br>The most time-consuming part of adjusting table height is manually removing two bolts from each leg, turning the table over, adjusting each leg, then reinserting all the bolts and flipping the table back upright. This is a blunder on the part of the designer. Be aware of this if you plan to adjust the height frequently. Otherwise, once you've determined your height, you're good to go. br>br>I would give it five stars if the height adjustment was simpler.

It was exactly what I needed and had hoped for
5/5

It took me about 3 hours to put this together. I have no intention of raising or lowering it. I needed it to be adjusted to my height of 5'6" for a fabric cutting table, so I measured the first assembled leg and adjusted the rest of the legs to that height. The instructions are simple and straightforward, but they leave out a few crucial first steps that I believe are essential. Before I started, I counted all of the parts and matched them to the instructions. There aren't any issues. Everything was exactly as it should have been, with dots on the parts or part bags clearly labeling them and referencing the drawings. All of the screws were lightly inserted, then hand tightened until I was satisfied with the position before tightening with the hex key. That made it easier to fine-tune the alignment of the screws in the appropriate holes. All of the holes were drilled exactly as they should have been. I didn't put the second adjusting knob on each leg until everything was assembled and tightened. After relocating to a new apartment, I've consolidated all of my sewing supplies, fabric, and desk into one room. a house of reasonable size I'm attempting to keep the third bedroom as a guest room, but if that fails, I can easily relocate this table. I'm pleased with this table's performance for the price.
