Very nice fabric that looks like it will last for a long time. In order to differentiate it from true gingham one must know that gingham is woven and this was a printed fabric that had the woven design Unlike what I saw on my computer screen, the colors appear lighter in real life than they do on the website. The stripes/squares are the right size for my project. The strips/squares are.
I received the item as described in a cute plastic box to keep the fat quarters in. As a quilter, these would make great COVID face masks, a disease I used to have but no longer have. In order to create the filter, I am making a holder to hold a cloth HEPA vacuum bag. The bags manufactured by Environmental Care Technologies do not contain fiberglass, as they state explicitly. It will be fun to make masks out of these colors which will also serve a practical function.
I use fabric squares and beeswax to replace plastic wrap. I would not recommend them. I put them in the oven to melt the beeswax at the edges, and all the darker colors soaked into it. The first squares I bought (from another company) didn't get stuck in the middle until after I reinstalled them.
I am impressed with the quality of this In comparison with the other crap I've ordered from other companies, the size of this one is much better. Their fabric has been cut professionally, there are no strings hanging from it and it is straight cut. Their little plastic package even looks nice for what it's for. This little bag folds up into a neat little package. As you can see, the bag it comes in has a velvety texture, and I love to feel its texture. I've ordered a number of fabrics and packaging, this is the first I've ordered that's so nice. My first call to this company when I need fabric will always be to see what they have to offer that can meet my needs at that point in time.
The colors are a little closer to what I expected. There seems to be something Easter-like about them My understanding is that this is ish. I like the material so much that I am going to make a quilt for her with it despite the fact that it is soft to the touch.
A project is coming up in November for EGA that will need this. In order to complete this project, I needed one inch and one quarter inch. As of now, I have been unable to find the 1/4" gingham, but I am satisfied with what I received and will execute both designs in Look forward to using the fabric for a worthwhile project since the fabric has a good quality.
Quilters will find it a perfect weight. There is a lot of color in the picture. My husband and I are going to make it twice. The picture shows a baby quilt in the making.
To line face masks, I used this fabric. I loved the colors and it gave me a creative way to dress them up. It was also nice to have fat quarters, which gave me a lot of varieties and saved me from having to buy a lot of yardage that I did not It is great value for the money.
