Worked for me

He walks around like a child, looking at everything in sight. A happy client is a happy client for me. It is my hope that he will soon realize that I am lacking in diamonds.

I love how well this works! This tool has helped me a great deal when ordering jewelry on eBay, as I have a specific brand to look for on the site
5/5

Just recently, I received two items that appeared to be fake, and both are My entire diamond jewelry collection has been checked using this tool, and even the smallest diamonds are not affected. The moment could not be more perfect for me.

There is no problem with it for me
4/5

A few days ago, I received a test kit and ran some tests on it. Some antique rings I have (quite a few) are adorned with stones, so I wanted to check them out. Actually, I wanted to know what type of rubies were and what type of garnets. Once I turned it on and it warmed up, I looked at the back to see what the calibration rates are and calculated C to F using those numbers. If you hold the jeweler's tester in your hand, you can easily test jewelry. If you place a finger on the metal pad on the back, you can also test jewelry. Using diamonds was the fastest way to test the tool, the bars just shot up As with other stones, I had to wait a little longer for an extra bar to appear sometimes when I was testing. My test was on diamond chips and a broad range of sizes. I modified the ratio by 5 down. Diamonds of 25c old European cut have all been tested as diamonds. There was no movement on a single piece of paste on a pin when I also tested it. In addition, I noticed that no matter if the calibration was set for a larger stone (2 bars), when I measured diamonds, they rose to the top no matter what. Following that, I moved on to the sapphires. I have two white/blue synthetics, a couple of star sapphires, a natural white and a 1ct blue sapphire. I just tested everything with 4 bars of calibration on the first one (not sure what would have happened if I had a really small one and used 8 bars from the start). A stone that I had in a great looking 10k ring that I thought was made of glass was also tested. There was a very dull and ugly stone in this picture. It was about Upon calibrating the tool I saw that it went up four bars to my amazement. I also tried a few loose small stones I have and found it easier to test them while holding as opposed to using the stone holder. I soaked the rings in warm soapy water and then cleaned them with a toothbrush to see how much sparkle it had, no fire but an interesting stone. The rest of what I found is as follows In the test, rubies add 4, sapphires add 4, amethyst add 2, emerald add 2, and so forth (Members of the Beryl family have very varying conductivities, so your results may be different depending on the origin) Opal +0, [onyx, tigereye, agate, In addition, this diamond/gem tester won't differentiate between mined and lab-created gems, just as the diamond/gem tester won't differentiate between mined diamonds Diamonds created by this process give the same +4 as do mined rubies in my Edwardian jewelry as do the synthetic rubies on my As a whole, I like it quite a bit, although some times it can be tedious. Combined with the case, the cap protects the tip and the tip of the pen well. Be sure to pay attention to where the bars are after each test, because you might have to bump it down a bit if you need to. Usually, when I was testing, it was the non-electronic devices My bar time was slower than usual so I had to remove diamond gemstones a couple of times. I will report more when the longevity is up.

You will not receive a battery with this item - The 9 volt battery has to be purchased I did not know that the device does not come with a 9-volt battery My knowledge of how it works is non-existent
3/5

A 9 volt battery isn't even worthwhile to buy as a replacement since it's too expensive. Buying replacement batteries that come with the item so the cost to replace is cheaper. Several of the reviews said the battery runs out quickly so it is not worth buying batteries constantly.

It is recommended that you read the booklet before using it
5/5

That thing was so cool to use , I found out my diamond ring is a fake, but I also discovered a few real gems within my collection over the years. My advice is to take this with you if you ever go shopping. You know that one person who always blings out, be their friend and tell them what they have. If you do this, you will know what gold and silver you have to work with. Gemstones such as garnet, jade, and rubies typically will not show up, but diamonds, emeralds, and rubies, along with whatever blue diamond shows up.

Tester that is accurate and affordable
4/5

As far as the instructions go, it is hard to understand the adjustment of the sensitivity of this unit. Nevertheless, the unit works quite well and is easy to operate. Having a metal buzzer is great for those who would like to mount small stones.

Several months ago, I purchased two pairs of quite expensive diamond earrings from Amazon, and I was quite concerned they would be fakes
5/5

Using this device, I test them and several other diamonds I own that have been certified for diamonds. Aside from costume clear stones and semi precious stones (white topaz), I also tested semi precious It came up with the correct diamonds every time. I am very satisfied with my It is a simple device to operate. I have no idea why other reviewers seem to be struggling to understand the directions. They take maybe 30 seconds to read and understand.
