Would it be better if it were thinner? It feels kind of like wax paper. It is unlikely that regular kitchen wax paper will work, but I believe it can. Rather than protecting the beads, the paper is meant to protect the iron.

It's so fun to make these beads with my kids. The time he takes to put stuff together so they don't bother me and I can go to sleep is hours. One of the things my son made was an iPod, another a gun, a hexagon, and another mysterious thing. Their schoolwork is getting better because of this cognitive learning stuff.

They are of good quality and at a good price. The "6 pcs", which were printed on the package and in the picture, did not mean six pegboards as I did not read carefully enough in my shopping of various packages. Six pieces of pegboard are included in the package, plus a sheet of paper to put over the boards wording in the description is correct, I was just in a hurry, so please don't make the same mistake I did.
