The polymers in Orbeez are highly absorbent. An polymer is a large molecule made up of many smaller molecules joined together in a chain. Sodium acrylic acid is contained in the copolymer (acrylic acid, sodium hydroxide, and water). Particles of color are also present in the copolymer.

Play with a bucket of wet squishy marbles for about 5 minutes by adding water, waiting impatiently for a couple hours, and then removing the water. I found them scattered across my house and backyard and they have become a mess in general. I received these as a request from my daughter. After being submerged in water, they expand into jelly balls about 3/8" in diameter. The number of them is tens of thousands. It is my intention to give a good review, and I was satisfied with their services prior to today. As soon as you touch the beads, they break. I made a batch and it appears they all have "bubbles" inside Sadly, I have to throw away the entire batch. So many people have given these positive reviews, so I decided to order them. After one hour we still didn't see them grow much. We left them in there for an hour, and they barely grew at all. Overnight, we left them and they didn't seem to be improving. It does not merit the effort.
This is such a fun game and the cost is very reasonable for how fun it is! There is a mess to clean up when they are around! It is recommended that an adult supervise the children. It is possible that some children put them in their mouths because they look like candy. A little outside play will make clean up easier. When kids play with them, they seem to play well. If you have children with sensory issues, these can help them learn to cope as they get a chance to play.
We were using the water beads for the first time. You'll have so much fun with them! In my opinion, the Original Orbeez are at least twice as big, so you won't be disappointed if you were expecting them to grow as big as this. The value of this is excellent given the amount of material you are getting, and it won't last forever, anyway. It would be better if you made more and recycled them because they would get gross from kids' dirty hands. Very fun for both kids and adults! I will definitely buy these again!.
