It's merely untreated vachetta that gives it this color. Its origin is a very pale yellow, but after time and/or exposure to sunlight it will oxidize to a honey brown.

The Apricot color is the one to use if you want raw undyed leather. The reason I bought the strap was that I am addicted to Louis Vuitton SLGs and wanted to find ways to carry them even more fun and conveniently. As far as the quality of the vachetta is concerned, it looks quite nice. The hardware seems to be well finished, as well. Shiny and gold in color, it's a brand new item. While it may not have the sleek look of LV's hardware, the swivel clip seems solid nonetheless. A small amount of red is evident on the glazing when compared to LV glazing (see photo), but it is barely When I first unpacked my new strap, I wiped it evenly with a damp cloth, let it dry, and then used leather conditioner to bring out its best qualities. As the leather softens, I can already see that I will have a lot of use for it and that it will be versatile. Whenever there is a problem with durability, I will be sure to report it.

I had to return it right away, as it appeared to be lighter in pictures than in person. Due to the quality of the material, I gave it a 2 star because I didn't actually use it to know how long it would hold up, but I don't feel like the material is.
Returning it will be my next step. Before they send it to the customer, they don't check it?.
