There's a new version for 2013
While I do not fully understand what David Robertson means by the Sennheiser PC 350 SE headphones, I have been using my mixamp pro off and on for years. All I have to do is turn up the volume more with it.
With the ATHADG1 and mixamp, I actually have a complete system. It is true that pressing the mute button on the mic itself will muffle your mic channel, but the mixamp does not contain any controls which will muffle your mic.
Upon receiving this unit, it was in new condition with all wires but was not marked with an Astro logo.

An old - was purchased by me The MixAmp is a new version, and I was a little disappointed at first.
There was a loud hiiisss/huuummm that was very irritating. Unfortunately, the reason I was having trouble was because I had been using cheap aux cables between my monitor and the amp, and I was connecting my usb powered speakers to the USB port next to the power source for the amp. Once I switched over to the included optical cable and disconnected the usb plugged in speakers which I wasn't going to use anyway, the hissing and humming has completely stopped! Using this mixamp with my PS3 and a set of AudioTechnica open back headphones sounds great! I'm a casual gamer and this mixamp, being connected to my PS3, sounds great! I highly recommend this book!.

Pros It lets you listen to two audio settings at the same time (on computer and PS4)
You can adjust the volume between the two
Lots of sound settings are available. The cons are I have occasionally had to restart (takes maybe 5 seconds once every hour or two)
But most of the time, my computer's sound cuts out between 5 and 15 minutes. After I turn on the PS4, it automatically turns on after 10 seconds. When I just want to enjoy Netflix in bed, that's incredibly frustrating. One of the biggest complaints is that it messes with my voice when I'm using headphones. I've got a pair of old uncomfy shoes where it doesn't do that. There are a lot of these issues fixed in the newer models, according to my friend. an upgrade is just what you need.

The mixer amp I ordered was refurbished from a seller with less than 80 percent rating, so I was a little skeptical. However, it came in perfect condition and with all the cables I needed. WOW! I am absolutely in love with this new mixamp I got for my PS4 pro. Make sure your system has an optical port, but this mixamp is nothing short of This product gives you a tremendous increase in volume overall, with the benefit of the dolby button allowing you to experience surround sound. We would recommend this to anyone.

I have found that the mixamp does exactly what it was designed for, and it does it perfectly. The Mixamp is by far the most effective of the various varieties of Dolby Headphone technology I have tried. You can ACTUALLY hear the sound surround you rather than just hear it in your ears. Other headphones with Dolby Headphone technology always have this kind of dead spot, but this mixamp is very accurate in its surround mapping. As well as for watching movies, it works very The process is as follows Users of PCs, such as myself, will find this information useful. If you need real-time sound support, you will need a sound card The encoding of Dolby Digital Live has to be done at specific times in order to enable surround sound. DD Live is sometimes called DD Live, but the same thing is happening. This may not be supported by your soundcard, so you need to do your research beforehand. After that, the signal needs to be output to the mixer via Toslink. If the configuration is not done, then the mixamp will only be able to work in stereo mode through USB or stereo signal through PCM via Below is a list of the cons I would not use this thing for anything other than watching movies or playing games. You will be disappointed if you are an audiophile. This must be because of all the digital conversions that have to be done to convert 16bit to 48khz and finally to your headphones. The quality of the sound has been considerably diminished by the time it reaches you. Listening to Music with a quality analogue connection is the way to go. I am not going to deduct any negative points from this thing because it had nothing to do with music. The users should just be aware of the change, though.
Some headphones that work well with the mixamp are There is an Audio Technica ATH AD 700, an Audio Technica ATH AD 900, a Sennheiser PC 360, and an You shouldn't buy the A40 headphones, they are overpriced and lack quality instead, you should get the AD 700 or a used AD 900, both of which could be purchased for the same amount of money. This mixamp might be a bit pricey, but I am very pleased with the surround effect it produces. If you play games with headphones, this is by far the best way to do it. It doesn't compare to the real thing, of course. The living room in my house also has an extremely elaborate professional-grade home theater setup, and that is the thing that still stands out the most. When I am studying in my study room, however, I will settle for the mixamp. EDIT
The quality of the build is deducting one star from my rating. It is starting to generate electrical fuzz when you turn the volume knob after only one week of use. Moreover, when the volume is brought down below the minimum level, audio will only be evident on the left channel.

This worked like a charm.

As long as I keep my Astro A30s, I can still use my old Astro Mixamp Gen 1. In any case, I needed this one in order to get my gaming setup up and running. This Mixamp is so great if you have Astro TR A40s. I just hooked up the Mixamp in another area and the Equalizer worked beautifully without interfering with the other Mixamp I had hooked up on the other side of the room. In my studio, I have a set up I like to keep, so moving things around is not something I do often.

Who doesn't love the Astro Mixamp Pro? It is one of the essential accessories for console and PC gamers A personal computer. My Audio Technica ATH-M50 allows me to seamlessly use both at the same time as I frequently switch back and forth between them The ADG1s are connected to my XBOX One. Comparing these with competing gimmicky headphones, I think these are superior. With the USB port attached to my PC, I can power my mixamp from my PC while simultaneously running an optical cable It is possible to get 7 by using this setup, however. I have one surround sound system on my In order to emulate the 7 surround sound, I use the surround sound software included with Razer. Astro Mixamp is able to connect to any pair of headphones and turn them into a 7 " on PC without any issues. However, it really shines when connecting to consoles. The set has 1 surround sound system. As a consequence, if your headset or headphones are of higher quality, your mixamp will perform better. It is a credit to Astro to have created.

As soon as it arrived, something was rattling in it. There would have been a definite catch if quality control had caught it. There is a way to do it, but how long into the future is uncertain.
