This past year I upgraded a lot of my retro setup to a The Wii provided a wide range of games from a wide range of systems, so we decided to begin there. This cord was connected to an old Sharp tube TV from 2001, and it works perfectly. There is a noticeable difference in the quality of the video compared to Composite. In the beginning I noticed the improvements because the ghost outline is not present like it can be in composite. However, my benefit became even more apparent once I tested out the Wii port of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. There is a lot of sharpness and vibrancy about everything. To compare Sonic with Super Mario Bros. running on a Wii, I hooked up a Sega Genesis to the same TV and played the game on the Genesis composite It was much easier to watch the video and see the picture for the same game on the Wii. Its only downside is that it can be prohibitively expensive The only problem with video is that some games might look a little too clean, since early pixel art was often created with blurriness in mind in order Sonic 3’s title screen and the transparent tubes of Marble Zone in Sonic 1 used this technique to create a look similar to an HDTV, which is to say they look like they are made of pixels on a checkerboard. There is a very small problem though, which has nothing to do with the cable and everything to do with the games themselves. There is nothing wrong with the games that they might look different, they still look good. On a good CRT, the increase in sharpness is worth the upgrade, I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at just how sharp my 17-inch looked There is no guarantee that a TV older than a year will break. However, after a couple of years of using this cable, I began to notice some interference. Having ruled out the TV, the Switcher Box, and the Wii itself, I assumed the cable might have gone bad and ordered a new Lastly, another reviewer on this website mentions ferrite beads, which caused the same issue with the new cable. It was a good product, I ordered it.

The Wii controllers are so I can use S-twitch through my Wii to broadcast Watch the video. There is no problem with the cables. This device was 4 stars only because the lack of shielding gave me some video noise out of the box, when the other systems plugged next to it did not cause any issues. They are all connected to the back of an old Pelican I've mounted some ferrites right on the cable out of the Wii connector, then another ferrite on the other end of the cable, and then some capacitors on the Wii. There was some cleaning up done since it was a video cable.

A common problem with cheap svideo cables is that the screen will display checkerboarding on every pixel. There are some that are like that. There is superior video quality, but the composite cable along with the others causes artifacts. [The image on the right is of SVideo, while that on the left is Composite. ].

I originally posted that the cable did not work to hook up my wii u to my older televisions. I was at fault since the cable works just fine. Wii didn't include any instructions for hooking up the S I had no trouble using the HDMI cable on my newer tv, but these cables refused to work on the older tv in the kids' playroom. As it turns out, the wii needs to be set to AV rather than HDMI for the cable to work.

There are a lot of interference and banding issues with this cable. Two moving white stripes slow crawl up the screen the most. On top of that, the entire screen is surrounded by a little noise. It is unacceptable to have this kind of interference and it makes it very difficult.

Good wire, works well.

A little better could be done with this product, but it does its job just fine. It is a pleasure to meet you The connection to the video terminal was a little tight. When compared to RCA cables, the generated images are slightly more detailed and appear clearer. In addition, you can see that the shape is more consistent with the RCA cables. However, it is the contrast of the image that is troubling. In addition, in some games, sometimes, a black screen (no image) occurs with a blink of an eye.
The RCA part of the cable works fine. Overall, it's OK.

So far, it seems to be working fine.
