Questions & Answers

Is it possible to play this game on the PlayStation 3?

Yes. The word "PS3" is written in large letters on the front of the game, implying that it will only work on a PlayStation 3.

Is it compatible with the PlayStation 4?

No, the PlayStation 4 does not support backward compatibility. It is only compatible with the PlayStation 3 system.

Is it possible to play this on a PS4?

No, the PS4 does not support PS3 games.

What other languages are there for text and speech in addition to English?

Not Sure! The primary language, in my opinion, is English. I can't check because I don't have a PS3.

Selected User Reviews For Ratchet & Clank Collection

It's a fantastic collection, but it's a little glitchy at times
4/5

As a fan of 3D platformers, which are one of my favorite genres, I'm disappointed to see that they don't appear to be making nearly as many as they once did. That may not be a problem for critics of that genre of game (I believe they all have at least SOME bad camera angles), but it's a pain for me. (This isn't to say that I've enjoyed every game I've ever played. ) But, I suppose, there's not much you can do. I'm a huge fan of that genre, as well as R&B music. C, I couldn't possibly pass up the opportunity to write a review for this collection at some point! br>Because the three games in this set are so "classic" and well-known, I'm not going to describe how they work or what they're about because they're well-known games. But, while I enjoy all three games, I must say that the first is my favorite; the other two have improved in some areas, particularly the interface, but the first is still my favorite overall. (I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds Ratchet 2's ending - which is an excellent game - to be among the worst in video game history, or at least among the games they've played! ) I'm not sure I understand some of the controls criticisms I've seen. br>However, while these are enjoyable games, it's fantastic to have them all in one HD collection (they look fantastic!). ), but they're a little shaky in this area; I don't recall them being this buggy on the PS2 when they first came out. Don't get me wrong: I think it's great that you're doing this. I'm not saying the collection is completely ruined as a result of them, but it's strange that they exist on PS3 when they didn't exist on PS2 (at least not as far as I recall). Some minor but odd graphic glitches (especially Big Al's graphic in Ratchet 1, which looks like the "parts" don't fit together quite right) and some vexing sound glitches (where the sound of something continued for a long time after it should have stopped) are among the glitches I've seen (or heard, in some cases). Also, when selecting weapons from your arsenal, it may take a few tries before the games actually arm you with the one you chose, as they may not change the weapon at all or even give you the incorrect one! The game freezing (on Ratchet 3) has been the most serious flaw I've encountered so far with my copy of the collection, but it's the only one. up to this point (The games in the collection have all been played numerous times. ) )br>Despite these flaws, this is a fantastic collection that I would recommend to anyone interested in RPGs. C aficionado who may or may not be in possession of it. I would have given it five stars if it hadn't been for the bugs! If you enjoyed these games on the PlayStation 2, I believe the HD graphics alone make them worthwhile to add to your collection!.

This is a fantastic trilogy
5/5

I've never owned many Playstation systems in my life, preferring instead to stick with the 'other' guys; I even went through two PS2s trying to finish Kingdom Hearts 2, but decided not to buy a third after the first two broke. I had a PS3, and now that remaking older classics seems to be the norm, there's no reason for me to get older Playstation consoles, or to avoid playing games like Ratchet and Clank. Despite the fact that this is not a new release, it took me a long time to get around to purchasing it, and it was a fantastic purchase. br>br>Of course, the first three Ratchet and Clank games are included in this package. The graphics aren't really remastered, and they still look PS2-worthy even in 1080p, but graphics don't make a game, and these games are a lot of fun. It reminds me of a time when games were made to be games, rather than all of this VR hyper realistic open world choice based cry-o-game nonsense. over- the- (Not that there's anything wrong with characters games). br>br>Of the three, I'd say the second Ratchet and Clank is my favorite, with the third being my least favorite; the stories are hilarious, the combat is great (although I dislike how they give you so much nanotech in the later two games, but enemies do so much damage that you die in three hits anyway, even with armor upgrades), and they're all extremely memorable even today. I'm glad I got to play them all, and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't played the games before, or who has and wants to relive the Ratchet and Clank glory.

Excellent value for money! However, the games have not aged well in terms of gameplay; these were my favorite games in high school, but I was disappointed with the gameplay aspect when I revisited them now, and I can see why gaming has shifted away from 3D platformers
4/5

Despite the fact that Rachet and Clank were among the best at it, it hasn't aged well. The story and writing, on the other hand, are just as good as I recall. Overall, it was a pleasant trip down memory lane, but aside from possibly revisiting the old Spyro games, I believe it is time for me to move on from 3D platformers.

Clanky isn't a word I'd use to describe how I feel
4/5

I purchased this because I had never played the original games and was curious if playing these would entice me to play the new one that had recently been released. So far, the voice acting, the commentary on commercialism and television, the level design, and the plethora of gadgets and weapons have all impressed me. Choosing the right weapon for the right opponent or situation necessitates a calculated strategy. The only thing keeping it from being a 5-star game are the dated graphics and the annoying vehicle missions. out- 5 for me.

This is an excellent collection for both new and seasoned fans! PS2 copies are a little on the pricey side (if new), and even used copies aren't always in great shape
5/5

However, this is one of Sony's best series, and this collection contains the first three classic games on a single disc. br>br>With the recent release of the PS4 remake/remaster of Rachet and Clank, some players may be yearning for a taste of nostalgia. This is where you can find the games you're looking for. Up- Bugs and glitches from previous PS2 versions have been fixed, and trophy support for score chasers has been added. br>br>Five out of five stars and well worth the money! It's ideal for both long-time fans and potential newcomers to the series.

You get a lot of value for your money
5/5

These are three fantastic games. The game features hilarious dialogue, challenging gameplay, and excellent graphics that have held up well over time. The games are in 720p, which means they will look much better on larger televisions than the PS2 versions. Hundreds of hours of entertainment can be found in this collection. br>Ratchet is a word that has a lot of different meanings depending on who you Clank: It's good, and it's probably the most difficult of the bunch. It does appear to be a little out of date. br>Ratchet is a word that has a lot of different meanings depending on who you Clank Becomes a Commando: Shooting, platforming, and RPG elements abound in this fantastic game. br>Ratchet is a word that has a lot of different meanings depending on who you Build a Stronger Armory: This is one of my all-time favorite games, with hilarious dialogue. This is a story that is way undervalued. Dr. Nefarious is an excellent antagonist. br>The Sly Collection and the Halo Master Chief Collection are two other game collections worth checking out.
