Actually, it's a pretty good game
5/5

lol. So, I purchased this for my daughter because she enjoyed the tablet version. We went to YuoTube, because she didn't know how to play it. br>She also insisted that I join her in her game. br>At the time of this review, I was 44 years old, and I was an avid gamer from the Atari 2600 to my late 20s. br>Then I grew up in my 30s, lol. br>br>However, allow me to state this. We both fell in love with this game after spending about 10 hours alone getting to know it and teaching my daughter some tips and tricks. br>It's simple, but it's addictive, lol. Now I have to keep both of us from vegging out too much on this dang game. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy this type of time-consuming game play.

PlayStation 3 version of Minecraft This review is for my daughter, who purchased the book
5/5

She had been wanting this game for a long time, and the price was reasonable ($20), so she saved up her allowance and purchased it. She's put in enough time and effort to the point where I'm blown away by her work. Sh. e is ten years old, and she is the one who has sparked my interest in this game. This game has the potential to inspire your children's creativity as you watch them create amazing diagrams and worlds right in front of your eyes. Who knows, maybe she'll develop a new interest in design and decide to pursue a career as an architect one day. "I like it because you can create your own world and do pretty much whatever you want in it," she says.

The game that everyone in the family enjoys
5/5

When I first started playing, I was perplexed. The tutorial was not up to par. Before I finished reading all of the instructions, some would vanish. I couldn't figure out why people enjoyed this game. But I gave it another shot and began learning by playing, discovering that there was a lot more to the game than I had anticipated (such as using Redstone to send signals to pistons, which moved blocks). br>br>It became a race to build a shelter before the monsters caught up with me, and there were plenty of materials to gather and things I could construct. It's an open world, with deserts, trees, mountains, and endless caves covering a large square area. My children informed me that the goal is to defeat a dragon, but I'm having too much fun raising animals, expanding the town, and constructing a castle. I got tired of gathering all the materials myself, and the monsters were slowing me down too much, so I switched to peaceful creative mode, which gives me unlimited supplies and allows me to fly around so I can build pretty quickly. It's like virtual Legos, and I love building with different blocks and how I can create village houses or a garden or whatever I want and walk through it with my character and show my kids my awesome creation, then they show me what they made. Although there isn't an infinite number of options, there is a good amount of variety. The PlayStation 3 version lags behind the PC version. Hopefully, we'll get more updates (like horses) in the future. You can play split screen with up to four other players. br>br> This game is a hit with my three children (ages 11, 9, and 7). This game is a hit with the kids from across the street. I had to miss work one day because I had been playing it too late. There are a lot of songs on YouTube about Minecraft that are incredibly accurate. The Unknown and Na Na Na (I Found A Diamond) are both hysterical! The "fantasy violence" in the game is quite gentle. When you strike blocky monsters with your blocky sword, it flashes, falls to the ground, and vanishes. Creepers are the most terrifying, as they explode with the force of TNT. That can be nerve-wracking. When they sneak up behind you (unless you're in peaceful mode and there are no monsters), it's a little nerve-wracking. One disadvantage is that now when I drive down the highway, I think about how I could make buildings in Minecraft.

Minecraft is a game where you can create your own Edition for the PlayStation 3
4/5

I'll admit it: I'm a liar. Until I tried this version of Minecraft, I had never played any other version of the game. In fact, it's the only one I've ever played! (After I purchased it for the PS3, my older brother got it for the PC. ) ) I'm not going to go into great detail about the game because others have already done so, and probably better than I could. Before I bought the game, I had no idea what it was about; Almost all I knew about it was that you could build things on it, such as houses and other structures. But that was enough to pique my interest to the point where, after some deliberation, I gave in and bought it. I'm glad that "breakdown" happened to me! To be honest, I wasn't sure how much I would (or wouldn't) enjoy it even after I bought it. It turns out that I enjoy it quite a bit. My brother and I have had a lot of fun playing together as well as separately (though I usually play with him). Sure, it doesn't have everything the PC version has (I'll admit that not being able to make mods on this one is a bummer), but it's still a lot of fun! (It has, however, once frozen on my brother and me; I'm hoping it doesn't become a habit of freezing!.

One of the greatest video games of all time
5/5

This game is a huge hit with my kids! We had it on the computer before, but my two older boys were eager to play it together. So, we bought this for them, and they absolutely adore it. I set strict limits on how much time my kids can spend playing video games, usually no more than one hour per day. But there is one game in particular for which I frequently make an exception. It makes me so happy to see how creative they are when they play, with the amazing things they build and are so eager to show me! Instead of fast-paced, quickly-changing music, it plays soothing, calm music. becoming- obnoxious, loud music and sound effects that accompany the majority of today's children's video games When they play, I actually enjoy listening to the music and have been known to tell them that they can turn it up a notch or two if they want!! Also, the conversations they have while playing, where they talk about making things and how to make them, as well as come up with new ideas. It's invigorating to say the least. I never thought I'd enjoy seeing my kids so engrossed in a video game, but Minecraft is a game unlike any other.
