I have updated The worst is yet to come! As soon as the console is set down on the table, it starts to turn off by itself
3/5

Update This was a Christmas present for my daughter and it turns itself off. She can set it on the table or carpeted floor, but she can't put it on the table! I hate this piece of garbage. There is nothing clean about this! Go around the screens like a nut! There is a sticking problem with the main button every single time. It is obvious that this seller isn't even remotely concerned about the quality of their product, and I would return it if I didn't have to give it to my kid. What an embarrassment that I have to give my child a toy with a button that hardly There is no need for you to feel.

Consider buying a DS Lite rather than a This was a used item in like new condition that I purchased
3/5

A problem with its L and R buttons is evident on the DSI. The situation I'm experiencing is very common and I feel like I have This is only a temporary fix if you are also experiencing this issue (which you shouldn't because it should have been tested and is working on the day it was sent to you). Blowing on the L and R buttons is as simple as putting your mouth on the buttons. While this is a temporary fix you'll have to make a million times, it's better than trying to go through the process of taking it apart and cleaning and ruining it.

Despite now being in her teenage years, my niece still loves this classic console
5/5

In 2009, my mother purchased this DSi for my niece as a replacement for one she purchased for her in 2004. Even though I bought a used game console, it is working perfectly, I believe that it is a testament to its longevity. I have a niece who, though a bit older than my now 17 year old niece, still uses some of the technology (apart from the ability to play games) even if there are not the nifty capabilities of today's standards. *br* - There is still entertainment to be found in the camera and distortion effects it produces. She/we had a lot of fun taking crazy pictures with various effects when she/we first received it in 2009. Even though it has been surpassed in terms of technology by many apps available now (2016) for tablets and smart phones, it is still fun to play with. Other than that, the device is still fun and functional and the photos can either be saved on the device or on an SD card, which was not included but accepts cards up to 32 GB in size. *br* - However, the Internet is also an option in a pinch. However, times have changed and she prefers to access the Internet from her laptop and smartphone these days. The overall experience I had with my purchase was excellent, and my niece was delighted, too. *br* - Since she does not have a 3DS, which gives her motion sickness, and no interest in the Nintendo 2DS, she can still play her large collection of games without purchasing the system. Her love for this one is similar to that about her first, and I think that's what really matters most to me. This device's proven durability is the icing on the cake, based on the life of her original DSi. One day, this console will become a classic in her childhood, just as the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) console was for me and.

Getting Troybot to work is a pain
3/5

I will never buy from a 3rd party ever again. I bought a used DSP from Trojanbot and I have no issues with that. There was nothing else with the system except the DSD. As the picture showed, it was the system, the pen that went along with it, and the like It's a charger, I assume. Super glue had been used on the back of the item when I got it. Also, it has another kid's information on there and the password they put on there, which I did not know and was unaware of the password. In other words, my 3 year old son can't even play games that have a saving system on them, because a child before him played them. You will still be able to see it That is the worst spoiler ever. In the game I purchased my son had the option to save his progress, again he's 3 so it's not a big deal, but the passcode controls the parent settings, and I bought a dedicated stick for him to use for YouTube that he cannot I'm so sorry. I bought this on Amazon and it was the worst thing I've ever purchased. Also, I bought one for my daughter, and hers looks like it just came out of the box.

This game sparked my interest in video games again! Game-play used to be a huge part of my life, but I started enjoying them less and less and less after the PlayStation 2
4/5

It cost maybe fifteen dollars, and I got maybe five games, but no matter how much fun I had or how clever my game choices were, my interest slowly waned when I first discovered that Xbox was not the true gaming platform. There are a lot of games (i. e. In addition to shooting things, cars can be driven, too). Since I hadn't really played any videogames, I felt a bit out of the loop Play a game Perhaps after 2003 will be wise. My interest in Pokémon and a few other game series that were released for the DS recently renewed, so I thought it was time to buy a DSi after playing around with a friend's DS Lite and another friend's original DS. It was really important for me to listen to this because, had I not, I don't think I would have gone beyond my 2003 mindset.
Not only have I enjoyed several remakes of games I had already played, like Pokémon Soul Silver and Final Fantasy IV, but I have also been surprised by the wide variety of original, non-rivalling titles. My favorite remakes for the DS are those that were made for the Nintendo 64. It is in stark contrast to the PSP, which is technically superior in several ways, but has an incredibly lame Of the dozens of games available worldwide, I can only ever play maybe three or four of them on the PSP, while on the DS I have literally dozens of games waiting for me to get to them once I've completed the current ones. As far as the console itself is concerned Pros of

- It is a much nicer touch screen than it might appear at first. Although I initially considered it a gimmick, I've come to appreciate it after using it for quite some time. One of the many benefits is that you can control several games at your leisure with just one hand, especially if you are feeling lazy. As a result, the screen quality and brightness are excellent, and the brightness can also be controlled via hardware at any time, unlike earlier There is a larger screen than the one on the DS and DS Lite, which is a great plus The good things outweigh the bad ones (see below one down side) (The side)). *br* - In spite of the fact that I don't use it personally, I am glad to know that I have an entire library of downloadable content available through the DSi store. There is also a browser that does pretty well in a pinch. *br* - Although the DS Lite's sound system may be slightly better (?) than this one, the sound quality seems to be good. *br* - It is nice to have LED indicators on the DSi rather than the previous DS or DS Lite models. They not only look nice, but they also provide more information. With the DSi, your battery can no longer be obscured by the WiFi activity light while playing wirelessly. *br* - While i have heard that battery life on this is a little worse than the DS Lite, it is still good. *br* - A non-profit organization The DSI- All exclusive games (which are almost all of them) do not have region locking, so it is super easy to import them from any region. *br* - Once again, the game library is great, and if I had to select one top 'feature' of the DSi, this would be it. CONS (

) - Because it lacks a Slot 2, you will NOT be able to play games from the Game Boy Advance. While I personally didn't enjoy all that many GBA games, I may have to set this aside for some businesses since they did not have the same budget Many people consider this a deal breaker. *br* - There is not as much comfort as there is with The box is basically just a box there are no curves, grips, or anything like that. Additionally, the button placement is a little weird. I do not have large hands, but even so, I feel a little cramped when I use the device. In a way, it almost seems more convenient to have the buttons there where the speaker grilles are located. It may be best to get the XL if your hands are bigger. *br* - There is a stylus included with it which I hate. My main issue with the DS stylus has always been the cheapness of the stylus. The little top thing digs into my hand constantly when I'm using them. They're too short and skinny. Rather than using the PDA stylus, I bought my own stylus from a third-party vendor. *br* - In spite of the high screen quality, and most games have great looks on enlarged displays, there are a handful of minor issues. There is There is one thing that I've noticed is that, when playing Pokémon on the original DS, it is very obvious when only 1 HP is left on the health bar. On the DSi, however, the little HP sliver in the corner becomes nearly invisible because the up-ended bar is mounted higher than the disk The scaling process. Despite its mild irritation, it's worth noting. *br* - The DSi menu system is faster and accommodates different types of devices better than those of the DS and DS Lite, but it looks terrible aesthetically. I-t is really jagged and ugly, and I can't make out much of what is being shown. The game looks so awful that I almost can't believe Nintendo released it like that. *br* - In essence, while the DSi offers WPA support, it is irrelevant since each game must implement their own wireless security protocol to include it. For some reason unfathomable, the DSi goes as far as requiring players to support their own protocol, which is completely pointless. Currently, you can't use WPA on 90% of DSi games, including all newer ones like Pokémon HG / SS. Considering WEP was deprecated long before the DS even launched, it seems somewhat silly to deprecate it now. *br* - The Nintendo Company removed the automatic update mechanism A boot feature (in which the console will load whatever game is in the slot when it is turned on) helps you get more out of your gaming console. I assume they are doing this to discourage piracy or somesuch. This is a regression from previous DS systems. *br* - Even though you can turn off the annoying health and safety warning, you can't turn it off. *br* - Cameras are useless on these phones, and the pictures they take are even worse than those taken with cheap mobile phones. The only time I have seen the camera's use is in a Japanese DSiWare game that uses it for head tracking (which makes the system more expensive), but otherwise I feel that the system is unnecessary and that there are other ways to increase the price. *br* - Despite the fact that the volume slider is an improvement over those on the original DS, I still dislike them. Neither the volume nor the quietness is controlled well enough I constantly experience either too much or too little. There are more cons listed here since i assume the negatives are more useful to people, but in general, I would still recommend it, it's been a fabulous investment for me despite the few issues I also want to point out that anyone who is worried that it would be a stupid idea to purchase a DSi after the XL hit was Later, you'll be able to play them on your 3DS Don't be, says he who has been out for a while. Although the DSi is still a perfectly good device, there are several reasons why you might prefer it over the XL (size being the primary Due to its increased size, the XL is less portable than the DSi, which makes it almost twice as large.
