Questions & Answers

Is the GBA version of the game more difficult than the original SNES version?

No, this version is easier than the SNES version; when Mario has a cape or any other power up, he takes two hits before turning into little Mario. You only get one hit in the SNES version.

Is this the real deal, or are you just playing for fun?

This is the real deal. The cartridge was packaged in a small bubble-wrapped package. It also works fine.

The game is good, but it's presented in an unappealing way
4/5

This game is challenging and nostalgic; however, it came in poor packaging; it was taped to a piece of cardboard and took forever to remove the tape without damaging the label; then I installed it in my GBM and it didn't work; I blew in the cartridge four times until it finally worked; sound, pixels, and color were all good; however, the problem is that I only have a box that is used for games with no cases; therefore, I use MKSC's case for it because it is very clean.

It's possible that this is the greatest Mario game ever made
5/5

as well as being transportable! This is, without a doubt, Mario's best game in his LONG, LONG career! It's insanely long, insanely entertaining, and insanely ridiculous! The best part is that you can save your game at any time during a boss battle, as well as a temporary save in the middle of a level. (And, as you probably already know, the best Mario game is also one of the best games of all time. ) ) If you enjoy video games, you'll want to spend the money on a GBA and this game.

This is a decent port of the original game
4/5

I was fortunate enough to be alive when Super Mario World was first released. When it was first released, the game had a huge impact and changed the way platformers were made forever. Super Mario Bros. is a video game developed by Nintendo. 3 was already a significant departure from the original, but this is even more so. This was a much more significant shift. Better graphics, larger levels, alternate exits, secret worlds, Yoshi, and (at the time) a fairly extravagant ending. Because the game is so good, I used to play it on a regular basis until I had to sell my SNES a few years ago. This review, on the other hand, is for the Game Boy Advance version. I bought it for my daughter, who, despite her young age, is a natural gamer. Because it's accessible to people of all ages and can be played on the DS, I thought it'd be a good stepping stone to introduce her to the traditional Mario formula. Going from the SNES to the GBA appears to have been a significant transition in and of itself. br>br>Here's a simple story that you should all be familiar with- Princess Toadstool is kidnapped by Bowser. Mario rushes to her aid. 'jumping and running through a variety of levels The end. However, you'll have to deal with Bowser's children, clear out some ghost houses, and, if you want, find the secret Star Road levels, as well as the secret levels within those! The game takes a long time to complete, though hardcore gamers may be able to do so in a single sitting. The game has a good save feature, and you can now save, continue, and quit whenever you want on the GBA version. Because you only use three buttons and the d-pad, the game is very simple to play. This game is simple to play and can be enjoyed by anyone. Yoshi will appear when you find an egg, and you can ride him for an extra hit, eat enemies, fly if you eat a blue Koopa shell, and use him as a boost if you can't reach a high area by yourself. He's also got green arms now, rather than orange ones! Mario has his own special abilities, such as the fire flower and the magical feather. He can shoot fireballs with the fire flower, and he can do so in both directions while spinning. Mario can put on a cape and fly after running a short distance with the feather, and even glide around if you hold down and then hit up quickly. Wait until you see the cape if you thought flying like a raccoon or a tanuki was cool. br>br>For the GBA port, they made a few changes, the majority of which are minor. On the map, you can switch between Mario and Luigi, just like you can now. It's a little annoying because you can choose this whenever you stop at a location on the map, as if the game is reminding you of the feature, rather than choosing who you want to play as at the start, but it's still a nice addition. Luigi's sprite was replaced with his Super Mario Bros. sprite. 2 on the Mario All-Stars team He has the same extended jump from that game as well, which he has in his Stars collection. To be honest, playing as him now is a little more difficult. The other changes are minor, but the most significant is the one that many people are either overlooking or unconcerned about. It only has the A, B, L, and R buttons because it was designed for the GBA before the DS was released. The default run/action button is A, and the standard jump button is B, but the spin jump-in button is C. The freakin' R button, a shoulder button, is now required for many things in the game! Even after a few days of playing this version, I still can't get used to it. It's strange, but they didn't have many control options at the time, and they did include the obligatory Mario Bros. arcade game (you know, the old Mario vs. Luigi game where all you have to do is collect coins and knock Koopas out by hitting the ground from beneath them). It's in every Super Mario Advance game, and while it's entertaining for a few minutes, it's becoming redundant at this point. br>br>The graphics and music suffered a little in the GBA port. Everything appears to be a little less vibrant and watered down, and some animations aren't as smooth as they were previously. The majority of the sound effects, as well as the music, are identical to the original, but due to the hardware, it no longer sounds as good. If you like platformers or want to see how good Mario was back in the day before everything got dumbed down, Super Mario World for GBA is worth your money. br>br>Now most games hold your hand for the first 2 hours and show you how to do the most basic of things, it's no big deal for people who never got to play it in the early 1990s, but for people who grew up with the game, you'll notice. However, I found the uncomfortable controls, as well as the added Mario and Luigi voices, to be a detriment to the game's overall score. 'These are just minor quibbles of mine that have nothing to do with the game itself, but if you're looking for a flawless port, this isn't it. Perhaps we'll be fortunate and get a new Mario All-Stars game. At some point, the stars will align for DS.

Super Mario World has been remade
5/5

The fact that you can play as Luigi without having to play with a friend makes it even better. Furthermore, when you complete certain tasks, good and unseen things occur that did not occur in the Super Nintendo version.

New challenges, with hundreds of new details and graphics that aren't quite as good
5/5

In the second installment of Mario on the Gameboy Advance, Nintendo skipped Super Mario 3 in favor of the 96-level Super Mario World. The game begins with a new intro featuring Mario, Luigi, and Peach in a hot air balloon, where Mario and Luigi fly away with their caps, only to return to find the Princess has vanished! Nothing major has changed for those who have played Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo, but there are a slew of minor improvements that most people will overlook, such as the ability to save anywhere (due to the portable nature of the game), more sound effects, including Mario and Luigi's voices, and the ability to save 999 lives! Colored Yoshis are a fantastic new feature! Once you've discovered a colored Yoshi in the Special World, you'll be able to find them all over the place. The graphics, on the other hand, are not as bold and bright as those in Super Mario World, but rather light and dull. The sound is also nowhere near as good as it was in the original game. There are also some new controls, such as the A and B buttons for jumping and running, but the R button for spinning jumps. In addition, the game now has new intros and endings. There are several new challenges, such as collecting all 350 dragon coins in the game and seeing a small scene where Princess Peach transforms them into Princess coins, similar to Super Mario Advance. A star is added to the start screen for every one million points you earn. People will work for years to come if they are given silly little challenges.

Pre-saved games were included with the package
5/5

This is the game that turned me into a gamer, and I highly recommend it to anyone: ) was very different from the NES version, with large character Mario heads on the turtles? br>Now for a review of the cartridgebr>it worked great, didn't appear to have been used much, and the box was a little crushed when it arrived. Although the inside was board rather than white like regular games, it appeared to be a non-original box, which I didn't mind. additionally, the cartridge included a pre-installed program. The original Mar Bros game, as well as saves. I was very pleased, and despite the fact that I spent around $40 on it, it was well worth it.

100% of your money will be well spent
5/5

If you can look past the slightly shoddy graphics, colors, and sound, this game is a fantastic port of the original SNES version, complete with Luigi. With dynamic level designs, power-ups, and a large world map to explore, this game will keep you entertained for hours. If you're on the fence about purchasing this game, trust us when we say that it's well worth it, even by today's standards.
