This chunky plastic toy is really solid, the colors are vibrant and realistic, and it is sized to fit in I'm only concerned that some of them are less accurate than they should be. In the case of the Monarch butterfly, its legs are four There are six types of insects. I think it was marketed as the Honeybee (I think. )'s eggs lay on a leaf. The honeybees lay them in cells in their hives. I was hoping to use them in the preschool lessons to count legs, and to study hexagonal cells of the hive, etc. So, I will miss out on It's still fun to play with them despite the fact that they're so small! It was also at a good price.

They were of good size, and I was impressed with them. It would be expected that for the price, the accuracy would be better. The intent of these books is to assist me in teaching my inner child about insect life cycles There are a number of special education students in the city. There was no honey comb in the display nor were the bees presented in a honeycomb In this case, the monarch butterfly only had 4 legs (the common myth of monarch butterflies landing with just 4 legs is flawed). In this case, I do not recommend buying them if you are trying to accurately teach your students.

Playing with them nearly every day since he received them for Christmas has become a routine for him. Aside from being beautifully detailed, they are solidly constructed as well. Even though his little sister chewed on one of them, he did not suffer any harm! The first impression was very good. Certainly a good book for kids who love bugs, or a good way to teach them about bugs.
