I wouldn't say no, but it seems like the yellow material isn't very durable. I would be reluctant to do so.
It appears from Pete's shirt that it is actually his back, so I don't think cutting it off is a good idea unless you can find matching fabric and patch the back. lives with my grandson now and I'm not sure if the buttons are closed with Velcro or not. It shouldn't pose a problem to make changes if that's the case.
The puppets' arms can be reached with the fingers and thumbs.
Although the yellow jacket can be opened and opened, it cannot be taken off.

Having read it multiple times to my grandson, he absolutely adores it! He asks me to read it all the time. Pete the Cat is one of his favorite stuffed toys, and he plays with it while I read stories to him (and I was considering making him a shirt with velcro buttons to reenact the story with). It was just impossible for me not to get the puppet once I saw You can easily maneuver this product due to its size and ease of use. For the stuffed toy, I will still make a yellow shirt with four buttons that can be detached, and I will also sew a "belly button" on it. Thus, my grandson will be able to perform it and the flow goes with the story in great detail. I only gave it 4 stars, not 5 because I didn't know what else to add. am sure that it will still be a hit with the little ones and recommend it. In my opinion, it would be perfect to have one in a classroom for a teacher to use as a story aide. As I failed to mention, the shirt does close with velcro, and it does reveal a belly button on the puppet when it is opened. The fact that it was never mentioned when I placed the order to get it I found out on my own. It's become a favorite past time for my grandson to open up shirts to reveal his.
There is not much to like about this hand puppet, which is very disappointing. The first thing you'll notice is how small it is- There is only enough room inside for small hands, and the puppet is supposed to follow a story, Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons, but it confuses kids. There is a velcro button on the second from top of the shirt that allows it to be pulled off, which is cool. While the story is reading, however, the other buttons are stationary, so children try to follow the story and pull the buttons, tearing the shirt nearly to pieces. The only thing I recommend is not to do it. In the event that I had actually seen one before buying, I would not have bought.
As a parent, it's a bit too expensive for what you get, even though it's good enough for her. A single button is detached from a string when it pops off. They are all firmly attached to each other. I am a bit annoyed by this because the puppet is supposed to go along with the story in which all the buttons are taken off. The buttons will probably be held in place by Velcro like the other button, but can each be detached by a string attached to the string, and they will be attached by a string like the other For me, unless your child absolutely adores Pete the cat just like my daughter, then this puppet is not worth the money, especially if you can modify it, but otherwise I wouldn't consider spending more than maybe $10 on it.
It is great to use as a prop while singing the songs, and the kids will simply enjoy playing with it. Unlike the blue jacket which can be removed, the yellow jacket can only be removed from one of the buttons. This yellow jacket has a red heart embroidered on it and a white belly button. I love it, at a great price, I'd recommend it!.
I bought it for my niece for Christmas because she is fascinated with Pete, however I was surprised at how tiny and inferior it This product is over-priced for what it is. It is a hand puppet but it is so flimsy and poorly.
Pete the cat is a favorite of my 2-year-old! It is the only item he sleeps with There is a detachable button on one of the buttons, so Pete the cat can remove one of these buttons when he reads Pete the cat and is four groovy buttons.
What I found disappointing was Only one button (in the story each button comes off one by one) was removable (but remained attached even when removed by a handily elastic strip - which was nice. The only thing I wish for them is that they are all You cannot control Pete's hands or arms at all, and his head moves around despite the fact that you can get your hand in the coat.
I found it disappointing that none of the buttons to go with the story popped off. I will keep, but I will modify so when I read the story, the child can take the button off the shirt. I'll keep the button connected so we don't lose it.
