Unlike a replacement, it cannot be substituted. It took me a few minutes to speak with the puppet maker who designed this piece.

Do you know how long the battery lasts? Where can you purchase a replacement? I appreciate it! ?

You should know that my little guy takes it to bed with him every night, and he has it for more than a year now. As far as I can tell, there is no way to replace it.

I think it was overpriced for the quality of the product

That's a really cool finger puppet. The toddler in my household 2) cannot operate the light button from inside the puppet's body as designed, but he can operate it by simply squeezing the whole lightning bug's body together. This product is a bit overpriced for what it is (that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars), but it is a high-quality product and very well built. This toy is a great investment for my little lightning bug lovers, and they really enjoy playing with it!.

This is an adorable and well-crafted toy. Children struggling to make the firefly glow has been a complaint from some parents. A little while ago I had my niece touch the stomach of the puppet without putting her hand in it, and she liked it. This product has been a great success for me.

It's fun to play in the dark with this

It's such a delight to play with a toy with a light in it. The reason for getting these lights was for my nephew, a smart young scientist, and his lovely wife. My nephew had his dissertation defense here in Helsinki, and I thought these little lights would brighten up his dinner party following the defense. The dinner party was in honor of the opponent of the dissertation. I don't remember my nephew ever mentioning the toy afterwards, so it was probably too much of a child's play for a PhD. However, I plan to do a couple of little things like this with my grandsons to have fun.

The lightening bug has been a favorite of my six-year-old daughter since she was a toddler. Her fingers are too small to turn on the machine, so she had to figure it out. For it to turn on, you have to squeeze and hold. Children everywhere will love it and find it to be a must have item.
