Our older model was far from perfect, but this new and improved one is definitely better than it. In addition to the bath tub tub it was tested out with our 7 month old son. I want you to get an idea of what she weighs. Our 7 month old is about 19 lbs. It inflated a lot easier than I anticipated, and I had it strapped in fairly quickly. Currently, the weather has not been conducive to swimming in the pool, but I expect that to improve soon. It is inconceivable to me that any flat device would be trusted by children in a pool, regardless of what the reviews say. It would not be acceptable for me to run into the house or to turn my back on them while they were in the pool. There is never a way to predict the future.
The one I bought is much better than another one I bought from a competitor (see photos for other brand name), so I am keeping it. In these, 2 rubber ducks were included as well as a pull cord - but in all other regards, they were nearly identical to one another. Though, this one seems to be a tad better There is a hint of padding on the seat of this one and the straps seem more comfortable and sturdy.
