The book was a gift I bought for my 7 year old grandchild as a way to help him understand how the earth is structured and how its surface is shaped. The way the contours of the ocean floor are reflected in the picture is appealing to me. His new habit is to look up places on the globe that he hears about or reads In summary, I was very pleased with the purchase and what was expected for the price. Of course, if I were buying it for my home library, it would have been larger and made of much more expensive materials however, this is what I expected when I purchased it This was the perfect solution for the purpose I had in mind.
It also offers an outline of terrains illustrating our whole planet's geography, including mountain ranges and valleys above and below the surface.
In order to gain a complete framework of reference when analyzing the globe, maps and the internet are not sufficient. I really like this one. This map has a generous print size and is legible (even to my old eyes) for countries, states, cities, etc. It also has topographic information. It's extra nice because the globe is lighted inside, which casts a lovely glow and makes it even more legible (the globe is both pretty and educational). I like this choice very much!.
I got it I had a light bulb blow within the first five minutes of having it While lighting was not the reason we purchased the item, it has the potential to be more reliable. Unfortunately, I don't see a way to open the globe without destroying it at the same time. Even though it will still work as a globe, look elsewhere if you prefer a night light.
But, I admit it - I bought it in the first place for the purpose of being Taking pictures of Earth from the moon would be similar to the way the earth would appear when it is illuminated, like a glowing orb. That score is low for this product. It looks very pale and pallid when illuminated at night, as if there were a crescent moon I see you. Just the colors don't seem as vivid as they should be. There is a difference between the globe and the earth- An example of a children's gift I remember growing up There was something comforting about the globe's vividly defined countries and rich blue ocean, something that was a magical companion when I slept. I didn't notice anything special about this globe besides the fact that it cast a round, whitish glow The names of places and geographic features are also not well displayed on the globe, so while they are all there they are not very brightly printed. If you want to read the lettering, you'll have to look closely and concentrate. * The globe is equipped with a zipper. The equator of the planet is surrounded by a mesh line. If you open up the globe and change its bulb, I suspect that will come into play. Though, there are no instructions provided with the product, so users will have to figure out how to change the bulb on their own when the time comes. This is all- To summarize, if you're trying to find a product that can be enchanting and educational at the same time, you might be better off with a product specifically designed.
The globe I looked at here was the best of the 10 or so similar ones I looked at. You can easily read it Despite the large markings, they are in a readable font, well laid out, and large enough to read. Terrain features do not appear to be However, they are marked in a way that gives that impression very clearly. There are several features that make this console stand out, including the acrylic globe. It is quite durable, without being too This product is not likely to be damaged if it falls. In regards to globes, I have a niggling bugaboo In an uneven seam, one or both sides of the seam are not aligned correctly. This globe does not pose a problem. Considering that I will be giving it to a smart 5 year old child, she will be able to learn from it for years to come.
It does not meet the manufacturer's standards. The paper on the round form begins to peel off. The LED light was not functioning as well. There was damage to the packaging/box. As soon as I received it, I mailed it back. Sorry to have disappointed you.
Furthermore, the product was damaged upon arrival. My kids and I were thrilled to open the globe this morning, so we pulled it out and showed them. Additionally, the globe arrived damaged, so the print is faint and it is difficult to read. Despite the fact that I hate returning things and will try to fix them to not return, I thought this case would not be the case. If the plastic breaks, it is my fault. It does not seem to be a bad globe, but for $50 you would expect.
