Questions & Answers

Does it have a switch that turns it on and off? When I don't want my toys talking all the time, how can I stop them?

It is true. You can't help but smile when you see it. This is a gift I bought for someone.

The toy is available in Spanish, right?

There is no video of it on my computer

Could a 2 1/2 year old actually enjoy and be interested in this? This obviously depends on the child, but in general would two and a half be too old to even be considered?

My younger son got this as a first birthday present, but his older brother who is always there to play with it is a lot more excited then he is. A 2 seems to make sense to me. The year is You would get a lot of enjoyment out of this if you were old.

Do you think your dino is getting it wrong more often than it is getting it The banana is in, and the potato is brown. Often used as a substitute for yellow bananas. Do I get it wrong more than 50% of the time?

We are in the same boat. This toy doesn't recognize blueberries or carrots as food. Is this a defect? We received it as a gift and I'd like to get a working one or a refund so we can get another toy that works.

VTech is the same as before
3/5

It was cute and did not cost much, so I bought it. It is not entertaining for me, nor does it serve any useful purpose. They stuck the coins in their mouths a few times and then that was all. I haven't touched it since the day I bought it. Despite the fact that several of their toys look cute, VTech presents you with the same toys all the time. It's an annoying song, shape, color, and pattern It's an ABC. The program is geared toward children aged 12 and up I will be 36 months old. What color scheme? Is that so? There is nothing special about this. If you want to get something kids will want to play with, I suggest paying a little more. From now on, I will not buy Vtech products. In the long run it is not economical if you have to sell it for $1 in a garage sale.

Excellent quality, solid construction, and a lot of fun to play with
5/5

The gift I got for my Pastor's birthday was great! The grandson is almost a year old. Just recently, I bought several more VTECH dinosaurs. I bought some more small individual dinosaurs that came like four in a box The Quality, the Beauty, and the Sturdiness of the toys I have received so far has completely satisfied me. There is a lot of toughness to this Chomp and Count. You can count and type letters with it. He will eat whatever you pick out to feed him, as they have different pictures on them. Pick up your banana chip and he will tell you the name of the fruit, its color, and its nutritional value, for example. When you step on the chips accidentally, they are not difficult to step on because they are large enough not to hurt. As the volume rises, he sings little songs, and you can turn the volume down when you're done listening to them. It would be better if the string around his neck were On the bottom are little wheels, and this small child enjoyed trying to pull him around as I would have to do at his age and even when I was a few years older. This string was very short and he found it hard to keep it together. This is a good toy to recommend.

This is not a user-friendly website for toddlers
3/5

For my granddaughter, I purchased this item and similar ones. Using the slot is difficult because the disks don't easily fall in. After that, there is an awkward angle that needs to be altered in order to push them in well. However, once the child has them aligned, there is an unexpected catch that makes them difficult to push all the It is difficult to get the disks back out of the trapdoor. Despite its annoying nature, this sound makes no sense. The company also makes a piggy bank you can buy on Amazon that accepts coins by dropping them into the slot and it does the job well and does not have the same issues as the ones mentioned There is no doubt in my mind that version is the best. This one can be skipped.

Despite being a good toy, it is annoying to play with
4/5

It is a great toy and our daughter loves it, but the thing keeps making noise for at least 20 minutes after she has finished playing with it, which is just beyond annoying. Because of that, it is by far the most annoying toy we've ever purchased. There is an eerie feeling about the thing. In general, VTech toys do annoying things like this, but this one is the most annoying.

The VTech company is again a winner

This is a really cute It was sold out of fisher price cash register so I ended up buying this for my 20 month old for Christmas! A friend of his puts coins into a similar machine at their house, and he likes to do the same thing here. Providing food for the dinosaurs. Although it does counting and color identification very clearly for his age, I do think even as he gets closer to two, he will be able to learn more about that aspect of the toy. He likes to pull it along by the They are cute without being annoying due to the fact that there are so many songs. You have to put the food way back in the mouth and push it in to get it into the mouth, which is a little bit of a challenge. Even though I have adult hands, it is no problem for my son even though he is a child. It has not been incorrect for us to identify the chip pieces as some have stated. The pieces are stored in the dinosaur inside the carcass. It is generally a bad idea to buy toys with many parts since they disappear quickly, but in this case, the pieces are mostly staying It is known that usually VTech toys turn off after some time, but this toy does not seem When the toy goes off, it usually goes off, but sometimes I walk back into the room and wonder why the song is STILL going on? This is just an observation, we haven't had it a very long time, perhaps a button is pushed in the toy box or it simply has a longer period of time before it turns I still find it to be a wonderful As always with VTech products, the product smoothly fits the suggested age range. The activity provides hours of entertainment for your little one to push buttons and even more to be an interactive learning tool.

I urge you not to buy this! The dumbest dinosaur on Earth! You can tell this Dino what to say when you put an Orange Carrot Coin in it! There was more than one aspect to it
3/5

Many of the coins had the wrong name on them! Here are some troubleshooting tips that I tried. The battery pack was disconnected three times as I changed the batteries from different new packs. I like the idea of this toy, however, it is a complete waste of money. There's a good chance that anyone who has left a good review has not actually played with The mere fact that the device is turned on does not mean it is working. A friend of mine who runs a childcare center gave this to me for my children. The fact that this wasn't a planned gift, and that I bought one for daycare before finding out it was bad, makes me glad I didn't give this for a gift.

There is an obsession with it among my child
5/5

It is the only thing my child will talk about. While he feeds it, he will make me hold it for hours at a time. Despite being a great invention, it's actually the worst invention ever. According to my observations, the item is holding up well to his abuse, and none of the parts seem to be prone to breaking. You get 8 round discs that have a different food on them. If you feed it in the mouth, it'll announce what the food is, and if you feed it from another mode, it will ask you what it's eating. For example, "can it eat the banana?"? My son, however, loves it so much Nana had to get one for him to give to him when he comes to visit.

Retrieving coins is easy and convenient This is a favorite of a disabled teenager
5/5

My son became fascinated with this toy - he adored it Even though he cannot grasp the coin to put it in Dino's mouth, he can grasp the coins. I also like how easy it is to carry on the half-way Besides a great wheel and catchy music (less annoying than some other toys), the toy has a lot of other qualities. This is important There are many parts to this dino that can be retrieved. In the past, we had a coin counting pig that you could push with your tail it was also easy to remove the pieces, but it broke and is no longer made. There was a pig, a chicken, and a second pig I tried to purchase, but they failed due to lack of motor skills necessary to turn and line up a recessed back panel in order to retrieve A dino has an easy way of grabbing coins ("food"), and there are buttons that allow other functions to be performed.
