Questions & Answers

My daughter's closet measures 5 ft. x 2 ft. Is there enough room inside for this?

It measures approximately 3 feet wide by 2 feet long from front to back. 5 feet

Is it necessary to hold the lid open if it stays open? I want to make certain that it won't slam down on small fingers. ?

The lid will remain open by itself. My toddler enjoys taking the lid completely off and jumping on it, so be aware that it just slips in and does not lock on, which would have been nice. However, no fingers will be smushed due to the front and back spacing.

Is it possible to separate the lid from the rest of the container?

The lid isn't permanently attached.

That's exactly what we were looking for
4/5

It arrived on time and in good condition, and it was exactly as described. It appears to be sturdy and can hold a lot of toys. The only thing I'd change is the way the lid opens and closes. It's difficult to keep it upright, so my daughter likes to grab the lid from the side, which then closes on her fingers (the front part has a gap to prevent this, but the sides don't). We'll leave the lid off for a while while she uses it, but other than that, this was a fantastic purchase!.

The top is thin and flimsy
3/5

A child aged 4 and up would enjoy this toy box. My son is only two years old, and I found that I disliked the toy box that I purchased for him. The lid is very flimsy, and my son caught his fingers in it a couple of times when it came down. Also, when the lid is fully extended, it no longer fits into the grooves, and the lid simply falls off. This product did not meet my expectations.

They are no longer manufactured in the manner in which they once were
5/5

They are no longer manufactured in the manner in which they once were. I have an 11-year-old and a two-year-old, so I'm repurchasing items I bought years ago and noticing a difference in quality, which I've come to accept because that's how most things are. Overall, I like it. It's sturdy, big, and big enough to hold a lot of toys. I like how it's designed to prevent a child from becoming trapped or suffocating. The lid does not completely seal, and there is still air flow if the container is flipped over without the lid. My only complaint is that the lid does not stay in place when my children open it, and it pops out every time. I'm assuming that's a safety feature, so I'm fine with it because it worked out in our case when my toddler put his 10-month-old sister's arm in it and tried to press the lid down tightly, and it popped off. We used to keep all of their toys in a plastic tote, but after emptying it, my toddler turned the tote upside down over the baby, and I realized the danger, so I ordered this. I'd suggest it and buy it again.

For a toddler, this is a good toy box
5/5

The lid was a pain at first, but once I filled it with toys and propped it against the wall, it stayed put. It was reasonably priced and could hold a lot of toys. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the actual tub part had a lot of bubbles and flaws in it. That didn't sit well with me, but it's not noticeable unless you look closely. It has no bearing on its use, so I continue to give it five stars.

On the inside, it was much bigger than I had anticipated
5/5

I didn't think the storage would be adequate for the toys my daughters have based on images I saw online, but I'm glad I was mistaken. On the inside, it's much bigger than I had anticipated. My daughters were able to comfortably fit toys in the toy chest, and if they wanted to, they could add more. If you need something to withstand the energy of hyperactive toddlers, this is an excellent purchase. The toy chest's lid simply slides into place and does not lock into place, which I think is a great safety feature. It's secure enough to stay on when closed, but it wouldn't be able to keep your child inside if they climbed in and put the lid on top. I would buy this product again because it is well worth the money.

Great product, but dreadful shipping
5/5

I gave it five stars because it's well-made, sturdy, and can hold a lot of toys. If I had to assign a score to packaging, I'd give it a - 5 stars. It arrived in a large Amazon shipping bag, but when I opened it, I found a soggy mess inside. The toy chest had apparently become wet in its original box, so someone simply put it in a bag and shipped it that way. What a shambles it was to clean up! When I called Amazon, the customer service representative seemed uninterested in helping me.

Although the lid is terrible, the box is quite large
4/5

I looked through a lot of toy boxes to find one that would fit my daughter's toys. This one appeared to be promising, and it certainly is. It's a colossal amount of space. My daughter is only 10 months old, so it's almost TOO big for her at the moment. She fell in while reaching for a toy (all of her toys are soft, so she's fine), if that gives you any idea of its size; exactly what I needed. A box that will expand with her as she acquires more toys in the future. The lid, on the other hand, is a complete waste of time. It is not attached to anything and simply decorates the top of the box. It falls off when you open it. My daughter's fingers were smashed in it when she closed it and it fell on top of her little fingers. Although it isn't a particularly heavy lid, it is heavy enough to hurt a 10-month-old's fingers. As a result, when the day begins, we remove the lid and place it beneath the couch. Then, at the end of the day, we replace it so that the clutter of toys inside the box is no longer visible. br>br>However, yes. That lid is a complete waste of time.

This is ideal for a toddler or a small collection of toys
4/5

So this toy box is a little smaller than most, but it's perfect for a toddler. When it comes to staying on the box and staying on when you open it, the lid is terrible. It is, however, adorable. Even when the top is closed, the kids can fit in it. It's ideal for a living room with a few toys that need to be tucked away in order to maintain a tidy appearance. We only needed a small item for the living room because I have a playroom in my house where the majority of my toys are stored. My one-year-old frequently climbs into the toy box, so if that's a concern for you, I'm not sure this is the box for you. However, because my daughter can actually get into the box, it means she can definitely reach the toys due to the smaller size. If you're in the same boat as I was when it came to purchasing this toy box, I'd recommend it.
