No, it isn't real leather (at least not mine), but it is a very attractive substitute. It's a good value for the money, and my great-grandson loves it. It's also very simple to clean, which should answer your question.
For a "SMALL" child, this is a fantastic chair. My granddaughter is two and a half years old, and she weighs approximately 35 pounds.
I don't have an exact answer, but I can tell you that my son is just over 3 feet tall and is the perfect height for this chair. My boyfriend, who weighs 235 pounds, has sat in the chair and his head hits just about the top of it. However, I would not advise anyone over the age of 150 to sit on it. It's a chair designed for children. It appears to be too big for my 9-year-old niece. I believe it is appropriate for children aged two to seven. It is, however, an attractive chair. My son is about to turn five years old, and he's tall for his age. His back is a little short, but he doesn't mind because it's so cool. However, after placing the order, I read through the questions and discovered that many people thought this recliner looked more like a baby recliner. Even the pictures of babies in the recliners made it seem like my order would be too small for my three and five-year-olds. As a result, I waited for both to arrive before deciding to return the shipment before it even arrived. br>br>Delivery was quick, and assembly required only snapping the back of the recliner into the seat of the recliner, which my girls loved! These are perfect for them! br>br> I'm not going to return them, and there's still plenty of room for improvement. My 5-year-old is also quite tall. br>br>Update*
br>My five-year-old is now seven, and my three-year-old is five. The chairs are still going strong, with no tears, scratches, or crumbs in the cup holder, and they are still their favorite seats for watching movies and snacking.
Please note that no photos from customers (as of August 15, 2018) show children resting their feet on the foot rest when it is up. It easily lowers when you press down on the foot rest. The one I was given is completely worthless. To keep it up, I have to put a pillow under the foot rest. br>br>I purchased the chair so that my two-year-old could use the recliner function. Except for the annoying foot rest, it's a very comfortable and well-made chair. br>br>If you only need a chair, save your money and get something less expensive. Even young children will find it simple to use. This chair is a big hit with our 14-month-old. He likes to read a book or drink his milk while lying down. He has no trouble climbing up and down. We do have to recline it for him because he is still too young to do it himself, which is fine. br> The top pillow can be pulled back from the Velcro that holds it in place. I'm not sure why, but maybe you can replace the pillow after a while. br> I do wish the bottom seat pad could be removed. When children are constantly snacking or drinking milk or water, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to remove this for proper cleaning. It would be preferable to remove the pad to ensure that it remains as clean as possible. With a warm, damp cloth, you can wipe the vinyl clean at the end of the day. As a result, you get bonus points. br> However, the cup holder is a nice bonus feature because we keep a water bottle there most of the day, and he knows where to find it and return it when he's done with it. br> I was tempted to go with a fun color like teal or blue, but I'm so glad I stuck with the color scheme of our other furniture. It's not distracting in any way, and I think it'll be a great addition to our living room. br> Purchasing this item is not required. This reclining chair was purchased for my 15-month-old granddaughter. The Recliner is lovely, and my grown daughter sat in it without breaking or falling apart. I told all my friends and family about the Recliner because it's easy to clean and has a great price.
I bought two of these chairs for the birthdays of my grandchildren. They're five and four years old, respectively. The 5-year-old is taller than the 5-year-old in the photo, but the chair still fits her perfectly. They adore them, and the chairs appear to be a good fit for their height and should last a few years more. These chairs are ideal for children who have outgrown their marshmallow chairs (and whose knees are too high when they sit). The children enjoy being able to imitate their parents and grandparents in a chair that is tailored to their needs. Our younger grandchildren, ages 3 and 2, can also sit in them comfortably, so I'll be purchasing more for them this year. Thank you very much!.
The quality control on this item does not impress me. First and foremost, I chose to attach the legs before the back because it is easier to maneuver without it. I had to remove upholstery staples with pliers from two of the legs before I could attach the plastic legs because they were blocking the holes. br> Then I try to put the back on and can't figure out why it isn't locking in place and appears to be sitting too high. Closer examination reveals that the metal portion of the back is asymmetrical, with one side having a tab and the other lacking one. As a result, I dismantle it and examine it thoroughly. The left-hand tab had been broken off. It's Christmas Eve, and this is a present for my daughter who is dying to have her own little place to sit, so I went out and found a screw driver the right size to fit under the edge of the locking metal bit and use that to lift it up enough to accept the bottom piece and lock it into place. br>br> I shouldn't have been forced to do this, but I'm not going to let my little girl down, so I'll make the best of it. I'm not going to keep quiet about the quality problems I discovered. As a result, be cautious when purchasing this item.
Chair that is both elegant and durable. It appears to be a hit with my almost two-year-old. It is difficult for a child to recline in a chair. It will take some effort to push back on the chair. My son used to sit in it and then I'd lift the foot extension part up for him, which freaked him out when we first got it. He's already come up with his own solution today. He raises the foot portion of the chair before climbing into it from the side. Whatever works for you. The seat itself is a little stiff/poofy, but I believe he will break it in over time, and I have no regrets about purchasing this chair, even though it is only day two.
