The stock hexes aren't going to cut it. To get these or any of the other three, you must install Traxxas part number 5353x. To work, you'll need a wheel that's eight inches in diameter. It's a simple upgrade to make, and it gives the Maxx a lot more wheel options, as well as turning it into a beast when combined with the WideMaxx kit.
Because the Granite's hex is 14mm and the wheels are 17mm, you'll need an adapter.
Yes, these are for 4s; if you run hotter, get the 6s instead, as they will last longer.
Yes. The Kraton 4S and Outcast 4S hubs from which these tires are derived are 17mm hubs.

I'm a Proline fanatic who has a slew of premounts, wheels, and tires for a 1:8. A 1:10 SCT, a 10 SCT, a 10 SCT, a 10 S A1: 10 RWD buggy, and 10 RWD buggy 8 buggy. I recently constructed a one-to-one correspondence. (Actually, it's a one:) ten 8) Tekno MT410, for which I required premounts. I'd seen the Armma Backflip 4S premounts mentioned a lot after doing some research. They have a 6-inch outside diameter and are said to last a long time. 1" is about right, and it lasts a long time. They didn't let me down and fit perfectly on my MT410 while providing excellent traction. In comparison to the majority of Proline's 1, I prefer the OD. There are eight MT offerings that are either too small or too large. When it comes to pinion gears, the OD gives me a little more leeway. br>br>After eight hard runs with a 4S 2250kv 4274 truggy drivetrain, I haven't had any complaints. Yes, the tires expand, but there has been no evidence of tire separation from the wheels. br>br>I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.
The sidewall tore on the first three batteries. Despite the fact that their tires and wheels are not covered by a warranty, horizon hobbies went above and beyond and replaced it for free. Although I would have preferred to have had no problems with the tires, it is comforting to know that the company stands behind their product.
They were just the right size for me. It's a little bigger than stock, but not as big as the full 3. It would have been 8 Badlands if it hadn't been cancelled. br>I'm on my second set because one of the tires developed a tear in the sidewall after only one season, but that could very well have been due to some rough treatment (I'm not easy on my rigs). br>I like that these tires are about $10 less expensive than the "Low Profile" competitors.
The traction is excellent. When a second layer of glue is applied, it holds up well.
Shipped quickly and are the best tires I've ever purchased from Amazon, though I returned the others. These ones, however, you will keep because they work great on the Traxxas Maxx. Just slip that little head washer around and tighten it down with the boat, and you'll be good to go.
So far, so good in terms of cost-effectiveness and long-term durability. They could be a little less expensive, considering the cost of a set of car tires. The last statement was made directly by my wife, and I have to agree. My driveway is mostly made of reclaimed asphalt, with some mowed grass and tall grass thrown in for good measure.
I ended up putting these on anyway because they were almost exactly the same size as the 6s model, but they were a lot lighter and less ballooning.
Fits perfectly on my Traxxas Widemaxx, and so far has proven to be sturdy and durable. Softens the landing of jumps. It's not a problem to run on 6s. It's time to let it all out.
