An Elf's Story DVD

If you are already doing the Elf on the Shelf Christmas tradition or are thinking about it, this movie should be on your list. This movie is a favorite of my son (3 at the time). I think it's pretty cute and really well done - Despite being very watchable for adults, it is very well made. His last show was this one, as he couldn't sit through a whole show previously. There is also an Elf on the Shelf book in our library. There is no doubt that the book is great for explaining the rules, but the movie just makes you feel really good about The movie is centered on a family with twin girls aged six and six, and a big brother who is a tween. After his big brother tries to scare his sisters by knocking the elf off his perch (touching him), he once again loses all belief in Christmas. When you touch the elf, you see what occurs (which is sad and cute at the same time). It is quite funny to watch the elf and his friends each night return to the North Pole, sing, talk with Santa, and etc. To illustrate his point, we also get to see him walk around the room trying to convince the boy that Christmas really There is, of course, a happy ending to the story.

The kids loved it, but I did not think it was the best special. The whole thing is about the same length as you'd expect minus the commercials from a television special. No matter what price you pay for it, it is only a one-time purchase, so keep that in mind when making a decision to purchase this product. It seems to be a way of getting the kids to not touch the elf in the In response, one kid who no longer believes in Christmas touches the elf, and he disappears to the hospital for elves. He starts to feel bad at that point and also believes in Santa again, at that point. It's a watch this movie if you don't want your kids to leave the elf on his own. Using this method, you can ensure that elf will be exactly where you left him the night before, never to be found by your kids again. Possibly, I am old school, but I found the overall story line to be boring. Charlie Brown's special didn't really have a story line that gripped me, but when compared to past specials, this felt more like a show than a special. The correct answer was yes. The elf on the shelf books were available in tens of thousands of households the day after the special As such, it doesn't seem to have as much heart as previous The fact that nothing is for little kids doesn't seem to matter to most of them because last holiday we showed it to a few kids during a hot chocolate party, and they were thrilled. In the event that you already own the book and elf, this works wonderfully to maintain the theme however, I wouldn't necessarily call it a must-have.

This movie has been shown on TV before, but I am much happier to have the DVD since my daughter can watch it when she wants to. Moreover, she has watched this more than ten times since we purchased it. This is a sweet movie that she enjoys.

A good buy for the price, but I would not purchase it again if it were my money. There are some places on the DVD that freeze. As a result, I decided to keep it because it would have hurt my child to return The program does what it is supposed to do but it is not very good. There was no evidence of scratching on the CD. There is still playback delay even though I have cleaned the DVD player. About 30 minutes is all there is on the DVD. There was a little disappointment with the move not being A short story is more appropriate here. In the future, I will just record the show when it appears on regular television. This show is too long and there are too many skips to recommend.

The issue we needed to clarify was number 5) and we needed a good way to describe Having just returned from a trip in Germany, we got the book and DVD and watched them this morning. The lesson was a big hit with her, and she really understood it better because of it. My husband and I both thought it was cute.

I recommended this DVD to my friend after she asked how to handle her six year old's doubts. It is an early Christmas gift for her family. The whole family watches this movie every year, and we have an elf who comes to our home every Christmas. We find this movie to be ideal for those who are young enough to believe but who are also beginning to question the "magic" of Christmas as well as for those of us who believe in the magic of Christmas for many years to come. This is a great book - I recommend it highly It's a GREAT movie to watch as a family, and a nice tradition to start.

The cutest thing ever. I watched the entire thing with my two year old and he was pretty occupied. It would have been too late if I'd waited another year to start the elf on the shelf tradition, so this video was an easy way to get my son involved now. At that age, he may be too young to get exactly what the whole concept means, and definitely too young to pick out a name quickly.

When she was frustrated because they took the program off in the middle of the holiday season, she watched it on demand over and over again. As soon as it arrived in the mail, she shrieked and hasn't stopped watching it. There is nothing better than a cute family movie, which I highly recommend.
