Hello, Yes, the 24 piece set is the same size as these.
I believe these would be suitable for a 14-month-old child. While we were all on vacation, I purchased a different (more advanced) set for my 5-year-old grandson to play with, and our 21-month-old granddaughter began to play with them and enjoyed them.

Selected User Reviews For Discovery Kids 24-Piece Magnetic Tile Building Blocks Construction Set
UPDATE: My children still bring them on vacations after a year. They're going to Grandma's house with them. They still enjoy playing with them on a daily basis. Rather than just building with them, they combine them with other cars/blocks to create parking garages and ramps. The toys are fantastic! br>br>These are used by my children on a daily, if not hourly, basis. Other brands' magnets don't hold up as well as these. Children become extremely frustrated when magnets fail. Buy these if you don't want to have any more meltdowns. Because the magnets are smaller and flimsy, the clear, rounded tiles are useless. br>br>These have been smashed, dropped, thrown, and stepped on. They're in perfect working order. They're about the same price ($1 per tile) as Magnatiles, but they're a lot smaller. Magnatiles are a better deal because they're larger, but we already purchased two. 3 packs. There's no turning back from that point.
The magnets aren't strong enough to hold the pieces together, so unless you build flat on the floor, the project will fall apart, which is aggravating even for adults, so imagine how aggravating it is for a child. Other reviews mentioned weak magnets, but I was intrigued by the concept and decided to give it a shot. THE WORST INVESTMENT I've ever made! It was a complete waste of $60. I bought it as a present for my son, but we didn't get a chance to try it out before the return window closed. I would have demanded a refund if this product had not met my expectations.
We've bought two or three sets of these blocks before, but this is the first time we've done so on Amazon. These blocks are a big hit with our kids! There are eight of us in our group. a three-year-old and a one-year-old year old. Our oldest has long been a fan of the Discovery magnet blocks, and our youngest has grown to appreciate them as well. They enjoy coming up with new things to build, whether they are playing with others or alone. I like that while playing with these blocks, my toddler learned basic colors, geometry, and how shapes interact to form other shapes, as well as how magnets work. These blocks are the ones that my children play with the most. There's no way to go wrong with these! They'd be one of my top three toys to own.
To begin, I'll disclose that I purchased this item through a rebate site; it was not given to me for free, and I was not required to leave a review in order to receive my rebate. br>br>Several years ago, my mother purchased this particular brand of mag tiles (Discovery Kids) for my nephew, and a year or two ago, she gave a set to my children. They are extremely popular among us. They're not directional like some others I've played with, so they'll connect any side to any side, and they have a strong magnetic pull, so you can build pretty tall structures with them. We (my family or my brother's) have never had any issues with the magnets falling out or the tiles falling apart. Obviously, we like them because this is my family's second set, and my mother also purchased a third set for Christmas gifts. They are expensive at full price, but not any more so than other sets, especially given their quality. They're fantastic, and I strongly advise you to check them out! By the way, even without Prime, my shipping was quick.
We've increased the number of magnets in his building so that he can expand. He spends almost every day with them. I intend to add more so that his structures can grow in complexity and size. Excellent for thinking and motor skills, as well as the ability to apply creative thinking skills.
These blocks are the most used toy in our house (we have two children aged 5 and 7). I originally acquired some at garage sales and stacked them with more expensive Megaformers and other building blocks. Only the Discovery blocks were used by our children. After selling the other tiles, I decided to purchase two more sets of these. They've been so well received that I've just placed an order for four more sets for my daughter's birthday. They're strong, colorful, and they hold together well. We haven't experienced any of the finger pinching issues that some other brands are known for. Simply put, it's a fantastic toy that sparks children's creativity.
Kids as young as three years old play these at my house. The three-year-old is incapable of standing on his own, but he can connect the magnets on the ground. The older two have no qualms about constructing structures that rise from the ground. The magnets are extremely powerful and pose no problems. Because the balls are quite heavy, they must consider how they will support what they are creating in order to construct a strong structure. br>br>The ten-year-old tossed several of them across a large room like bowling balls. Because they're all in good condition, I'd say it's also long-lasting!.
These are hands down the best, with magnets that are literally better than the other brands we've tried, after a lot of trial and error of buying them and seeing which ones my kids like best. The money will be well spent. This brand is always preferred over all others because it is thicker and has better magnets. I just placed my second order of these today to provide my children with more toys to play with.
