Despite how much our kid loves the system, as well as her ability to haul produce from the garden, there are some irksome shortcomings to it
4/5

First of all, this tractor would appeal to just about any child. The one at our house loves to haul his gardens tools in the trailer and haul products from the garden back The fact that replacement parts can be ordered for broken items from the Peg Perego website is also a plus. We live in a world of disposable items, so it is refreshing to be able to get replacement parts to fix a kids' This tractor is manufactured in the US, which is another change to be welcomed. I found the supplemental instructions annoying. I didn't find it too hard to assemble the tractor and trailer, but I did find it difficult to assemble the trailer as well. As a result, I believe there were errors and omissions in the original instructions that required supplement sheets. Rather than use the supplemental sheets, the master instructions should be rewritten so that they are no longer An assembly made this way would be much simpler. There should be one booklet and all instructions must follow a logical order and not be spread across a variety of A number of shortcomings are found in It's the radio that annoys me most of all. Despite the fact that the radio should actually be powered by the master battery, it requires its own AA batteries. For you to replace the radio's batteries, you have to remove the radio's steering wheel, which means that the battery replacement is more complicated. The radio's batteries were initially installed without removing any bolts or screws from the tractor or radio, and then they were replaced after removing screws from the radio cover and steering wheel bolt. However, the radio is nothing but junk. It has terrible reception due to the lack of a decent antenna, it can't hold onto a single station forever, and it always starts at the lowest frequency, so it is annoying to find "the" station again every time it gets turned on. There shouldn't be all that much difference between a decent radio that gets good reception and stays on a given station even after it's been turned off and one that doesn't. This toy wouldn't change much if the price were raised by a few bucks because a better radio would make it more appealing. Batteries for the radio need to be easily replacementable if they are going to be a separate component. The second point of contention is that the tractor comes with an inefficient battery charger even though Peg Perego sells a rapid battery charger that gets a battery charged in under two hours. We should be given that rapid battery charger instead of having to buy a second slow charger that becomes unnecessary. This toy can be sold for a high price because of its rapid charging. It's not much fun to play with a toy while it's waiting for its battery to charge. A second wish I have for this tractor, and I think this is a problem with any kids' electric vehicle I have ever seen, is that the battery should be easier to replace. There are two screws that need to be removed to remove and replace the battery. As long as a second battery can be used to keep a tractor running while another battery is being charged, the battery cage should be held in place by clips, not screws, in order to facilitate easy I like the fact that the battery cage can support a larger battery, so when the time comes, I will make sure to buy a bigger battery for the second battery. According to the battery's original specifications, it has two batteries There will be 3 hours of run time if properly charged for 18 hours from the start. With time, as with any battery, the total run time will decrease and, of course, there will be guests over and everyone wants to drive the tractor at one time or another. In addition, a larger battery will give you a longer run time for the duration of its useful life. For these reasons, I would have only given this toy three stars, but I also added a fourth star since I am able to easily order replacement parts when they are required. By ordering replacement parts, the toy will maintain its good function for a much longer period of time than it would.

The design of the tractor is beautiful, and it is even better with the optional upgrades
5/5

The tractor is a big hit with our grandson. In spite of him being almost three, he needs a few more rides before he can negotiate the steering wheel. My tractor would be better off if it came with a battery that is more powerful. Purchasing one for a backup is on my to-do list. In addition to the batteries operated horn, I added real headlights which I controlled with a rocker switch. My husband and I got some bicycle light flashers that had Velcro straps and attached them to the exhaust stack for both aesthetics and to draw attention to the vehicle on the road which has little My idea for attaching bicycle tire tread to the wheels was inspired by a YouTube video. It will protect the plastic wheels and provide traction at the same time. My plastic tires are slippery and show signs of wear after just three trips on asphalt. Additionally, the bicycle tread should provide a quieter ride. I cut off an inch from each of the bicycle tires so they would be flat against the tractor tires and fastened them with 3/4" stainless steel I couldn't get that from coarse drywall screws that would don't show up as much, and I needed something that would withstand.

During the first 3 months, everything was great! In a nutshell, Update it is now July, and unfortunately the rear wheels have broken and completely separated! There's no point in wasting $300 on a tractor you can't use! It has only been 3 months since I bought it! The wheels split since he opened it on his birthday in March

It is now July and the wheels have broken. Please open, please! I love this bike, my son rides it almost every day.

It was a lot of fun! It is now equipped with a larger, more fun battery
5/5

In a nutshell, The tractor my son loves is very special to him. You can't help but love this design! The "real" look of the pictures is something that all of my friends and family compliment. I have removed the plastic "headlights" and "tail-lights" that my son attached over time Lights" and also removed the exhaust on the side as well as the stickers. As long as my son continues to use it, I don't mind. In addition to its good steering, it is able to ride through dirt a lot better and through St Augustine grass much worse. 3 year old son loves to run in circles in the backyard. Thus, 2nd gear is his favorite. In comparison with other power wheels, it is expensive. It's pretty much a no-brainer to pay for that battery drains twice as fast in the 2nd gear as it does in the Power Wheels vehicles have a larger power wheel and a bigger battery as standard. The power wheels battery is small and has less capacity. This page was updated on September 1, 2018 . Overheating is an issue on these vehicles more easily than on power wheels. Even on hot days, the upgraded battery keeps running until the motors overheat and shut down. In a matter of minutes, it begins to run A few thoughts In the past, I thought about upgrading the wheels with rubber liners but I realized that the added grip would cause the gears to wear out faster. Further, I considered increasing the voltage for more power, but the gears would also wear out faster with this increase. My battery was upgraded, so I made the It took me a few hours to charge my new 12V 20AH battery after I purchased it on Amazon, and I also upgraded the charger. There is only one downside to the new battery It is much larger and to tie it down is a challenge. Although pipe straps worked for me, zip ties can also be used. This page was updated on September 1, 2018 . These seem weaker than the motors on power wheels. This is a great starter 12V power vehicle for my child, but he prefers his power wheels vehicle now that he is 5 years old.
