In comparison to Chenille Kraft, this is a paint cup that actually WORKS
5/5

UPDATE: I've had these for seven years and they're still as good as the day I got them. They haven't been broken by any of my children. br>br> I bought this set of four paint cups after being dissatisfied with a set of ten Chenille Kraft paint cups. While the Melissa and Doug paint cups are more expensive (1. 25), they are worth it. 88 vs. They're also a lot better quality (12 each). Advantages: br>br>
- - The screwed-on lid will not come off. br>- The cap creates an airtight seal, which prevents the paint from drying out!
- a slightly larger volumebr>br>contrary to popular belief, a slightly larger volumebr>br>contrary to popular belief
- more expensive than competitorsbr>br>I was dissatisfied with the design and construction of the Chenille Kraft paint cups because the snap-on lids didn't all fit properly and the caps didn't make an airtight seal, allowing the paint to dry out. They're inexpensive, but you should only use them if you plan on cleaning them after each use. br>br>The Melissa and Doug paint cups are well-made and well-designed. This means I'll be able to keep paint in the cups until I'm ready to use it. There's no need to be concerned about the lids popping off if they're dropped or squeezed. Great product. br>br>For a hands-on comparison, see my video. br>br>I use Crayola Artista II Washable Tempera Paint in these paint cups, as well as the Chenille Kraft Preschool Paint Brush Assortment (both of which I've reviewed). They make a fantastic pair. I get my paint in 16oz bottles from Amazon. For your money, you get a lot of paint. My kids adore Chenille Kraft's set of 24 brushes, which includes a large and small brush for each color of paint so you don't have to worry about washing them out until the end. It's a great way to pass the time! br>br>Let me know if you found this review useful by voting below.

You've saved my life! These cups are my absolute favorite!! I think they're incredibly clever and inventive, and I adore them! I bought them for my 2-year-old daughter, who loves to paint for hours on end every day, and having to constantly take out different kinds of containers, dirty them up, clean them up, and have them spill all over my house wasn't cutting it anymore! So I figured there had to be a solution, so I went to Amazon and bought these in a matter of minutes
5/5

I didn't think twice because the idea of these cups appealed to me, and Melissa was a wonderful person to work with. Doug isn't one to let me down easily. Well, I loved them even more when I got them in the mail! I was blown away by their quality; they are solid and not at all flimsy or cheap. Exceptional long-term durability! And OMG- They can be washed in the dishwasher. What a brilliant idea! I appreciate it when businesses attempt to make our lives a little easier- What a considerate gesture! )br>br>First and foremost, I adore their size- they are just right, not too small nor too large, and they hold a decent amount of paint, so my daughter can paint for several hours and the cup will last her that day, if not the next- Yes, she can reuse the same cup the next day because these bad boys have snap-on lids that keep the air out. so that the paint can stay put and not dry out or spill If they do dry out (depending on the consistency of the paint mixture you made), I simply add some water to bring them back to life--it's not a big deal. br>br>These cups are designed in such a way that they do not spill all over the place when they fall over. What an incredible lifesaver! I like that these come in four different colors so we can match the paint color to the color of the cup. These cups are also a great match for Melissa's Melissa's Melissa's Melissa's Melissa's Melissa 4 piece set of Doug Jumbo Paint Brushes- You also match the color of the brushes to the color of the paint cups. My 2-year-old daughter enjoys coordinating things now that she is older. As a result, there's a fun learning/educational aspect to the product. br>br>Overall, I adore these cups and strongly advise everyone to get a set for their budding artists! When my grandparents come to visit, I will definitely purchase another set. I can afford to buy two sets, especially given their low price!.

They're functional, but they don't quite fill the gap
3/5

br>br>The cups' dimensions are as stated in one of the answers. br>br>Contrary to what another reviewer claims, these cups will hold water without leaking if the cap is tightly screwed on. br>br>The snap caps are tight, but they must be for the seal to work. br>br>The cups and lids are made of heavy-duty plastic. br>br>The material is simple to maintain. They're not easy to tip when they're filled to the brim. br>br> The Drawbacks: br>br> The cup is a fraction of a drop away from spilling when filled to the line (1st photo) (the meniscus is right at the edge of the hole, ready to flow in the 2nd photo). The cup was gradually tipped on its side for the test; if it had been pushed over, the contents would have spilled. I would only fill halfway up to the line just to be safe. br>br>I did call Melissa. When Doug explained the problem, he was told that 1) a feedback form would be sent to him; and 2) 2) This is a toy, not an industrial product, and 3) Because you purchased it from Amazon, it is an Amazon product, which is not the response I was expecting from a company that claims to "care about your comments. " "br>br>Bottom Line:br>I'm keeping the cups because they'll work for me (I'll put cutting oil and a ring magnet in them for use on a milling machine) and they're only a quarter of the price of a squatter, made-in-the-USA cup. for- It's a cutting oil cup that serves a specific purpose. I'm not going to fill more than half way!.
