I have no idea, but my puppy ate one and was unaffected. They degrade quickly in the rain, which happens a lot in Florida, so I think they're natural enough, and I'm assuming they're non-toxic because they're used outside; if they were made with chemicals, my dog would have gotten sick, and my grass, where the chalk washes away into the water, would be dead. This is a fantastic purchase in my opinion. Even with the neighborhood kids constantly coming over to draw, we still have a lot of them.
I'm not sure how big they are, but they're about the size of a large piece of sidewalk chalk, not the smaller blackboard chalk, if that helps.

Note: As a parent of a boisterous toddler, all of my reviews are written after a minimum of one hour of use. Use for two weeks. Advantages: br>br> I've bought chalk before, and unlike most chalk, which only comes in three colors, I've bought it several times. This set of 5 primary colors in a repeating pattern has a good color range and is bright and colorful on the sidewalk. (See photo) I've also gotten boxed sets with Black, Dark Grey, and Light Grey chalk, which can be used by kids, but the colors aren't very exciting. . . I believe some companies cut corners on the colors. That is why I am so enthusiastic about this company. This is a fantastic value for money product with a wide variety of colors to choose from. This is a simple box with no fancy features to open or close, but if you're like most parents, you probably already have a chalk storage container, so it's a plus in my book. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. I know it's a minor point, but the box is bare bones (see photo), which resulted in a number of broken chalk sticks as soon as I took them out of the box. I assume it's from delivery, as delivery drivers aren't known for their gentleness. br>As for the comments I've seen on whether the Chalk is vegan, I assume they're concerned about curious kids, because it doesn't state the chemical breakdown (hey, it's chalk!). It dissolves in water and is easily removed. For the past few weeks, my daughter has colored her legs, arms, and mouth to see if the chalk is safe.
We go through a lot of chalk because I have three-year-old twins and a one-year-old. Normally, I buy a pack from Target or Walmart and it lasts us about a month, but I wanted to see if there was a better bulk option. I thought I'd struck gold when I came across this find: an entire box of fat chalk in all of those colors for how much? But there's a snag! So I decided to take a chance and buy it. The packaging is crap, but 90 of the chalk wasn broken and I still felt like a bandit. But then we went outside to have some fun. When I say that this chalk moves quickly, I mean quickly. 1 stick will last for 1 year With a toddler, it's only 2 minutes. This chalk looks like it was manufactured by a chip company and then filled with air. I'm baffled by how quickly it vanishes. I attempted to trace my toddlers and ended up using nearly the entire piece. To me, that is insane! Typically, I allow each of my children to choose two colors, which will last for one year. We only had three play sessions, but we went through sticks like crazy with this box. We used 17 sticks after 2 hours. Overall, nice fat sticks with a good color selection and a low price, but they have a vanishing act, which is why they are so cheap.
After my kids' box of name-brand sidewalk chalk ran out, I decided to stock up on this massive box to keep our park-goers happy. I'm packing my bag. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because, after all, it's just chalk for making temporary dusty drawings on the ground. In this instance, you get exactly what you pay for. The price of this chalk is low, but it is also long-lasting. My children are capable of completing five tasks in a single day. In just a few days, I was able to complete six pieces. Because the chalk isn't as dense as others we've used before, it can be easily ground down. I had hoped that 120 pieces would last several seasons, but I believe we will need to restock in a few months. I'm still giving it four stars because it does what it says on the box, the color variety is nice, they arrived mostly undamaged, and my kids are still enjoying them.
I do a lot of chalk art on the street in our caldusac and this is good chalk but the times I’ve ordered it about 2075% of the sticks were broken up It'll be difficult to keep it from breaking in the mail, I believe. I'll try a different brand, but I don't think there will be much of a difference in the mail.
The colors are fantastic! Colors that are vibrant and beautiful! We enjoy chalk and go through a lot of it during the spring and summer months! I ordered it almost a month ago and hadn't opened it yet because my daughter had just received a bucket full in her birthday bag on 3/6, but it's now 4/9 and almost every stick is gone, so I figured I'd open the box of 120 and see how it went! I adore the colors, and it appears to be excellent chalk!.
I bought this chalk for my one and two-year-olds, and they loved it! Despite the fact that some of the pieces were broken when they arrived, I still recommend this to anyone who has a toddler who enjoys drawing with chalk! I currently have one tub to play with and another that has been put up (they're rough lol), but I think I prefer them to them. The colors are so bright and beautiful! Much better than the few generic colors available in stores.
I had fun making a craft with the kids, but a few of the pieces contained plastic and gravel. I'm not sure how to report these as potentially dangerous. br>br>Update - Metal shards, hairs, and what appears to be a seed have all been discovered. We've had it for far too long, so Amazon won't help us. If you're just drawing, it'll probably go unnoticed, but we tried to break it down to make puffy chalk and discovered a slew of unwanted items inside; we still have a few left, so I'll probably break it up to see what's inside since I can't return it. br>br>Update number two - I attempted to return, but there were far too many people who had already left. The brittleness of purple chalk can be seen in the photo. It's a larger package for a lower price, but based on my experience with other chalks, each piece, excluding fragments, plastic, and other materials found inside, has a *density* of 3-4%. 4 high-quality crayons (Crayola, for example).
