Questions & Answers
Thank you for your interest in this product, Car Lover; these pencils are ideal for use with adult coloring books. They have a nice shade that helps keep the color in the lines while also getting into all the little spaces on the intricate designs.
For my coloring book, I used these pencils. They perform admirably!
There is no such thing as a metallic gold pencil. There is a yellow, but it isn't nearly as bright as metallic gold.
They do, in fact, include primary-source materials. red, yellow, and blue are the primary colors used in this design. Green, orange, and purple are also secondary colors. There are also tertiary colors, though their names aren't always the ones we're familiar with. Grey, white, and pink are also available. Blue, yellow, green, and brown are among the colors used. They will, I believe, appeal to you.

These are excellent colored pencils, especially for a set that is less expensive. I've seen complaints that the tips of these pencils break easily and don't sharpen well, but I've never had that problem. One of my pencils broke a little after I sharpened it, but it was due to over-sharpening. The tip was brittle and had been sharpened. I only sharpened these in an electric sharpener and they sharpened nicely once the pencil dulled a little. It may be more difficult to manually sharpen them. br>br>The colors are also very vibrant. In the past, I've used value colored pencils that, no matter how heavily I colored with them, just looked like pastel colors. These are bright and comfortable to hold in the hand. br>br>I'm having a lot of fun incorporating these into my new adult coloring book. I've included some images to demonstrate how the colors appear on paper.
Since she started school, I've been purchasing Crayola products for her. You can't just say all brands of coloring pencils or crayons are the same, so I prefer these to a cheap brand. That is not the case. You can color with these coloring pencils without having to worry about skips or the color not showing up well on paper. This brand of coloring pencils is still used by my daughter, who is in seventh grade. She'll have to use them in history and possibly science. These are the items that I use most frequently. to the coloring materials! I have a few "adult coloring books," and these colored pencils have been used to color a lot of them! I've tried less expensive brands, but they don't seem to be as bright and require a lot more pressure to fully show the colors. 1. br>br> The pencils have a good color laydown in general, with the exception of a few colors that don't work well (which I must say is also true of my most expensive colored pencils). The color is bright and rich, and the laydown is smooth and uniform.
2. The pencils sharpen very well, cutting easily through the wood casing and supporting a very fine point when desired, thanks to the color lead core.
3. The lead core appears to be relatively resistant to breakage (a problem that can be found in even the most expensive pencils).
4. Physically, the pencils are thin.
5. The set includes 50 colors and is a good size for doing a lot of drawing without having to commit to a large collection. br>Are these colored pencils on par with the best Swiss, French, and German brands? No. However, given that these are marketed as children's pencils, they are very close, and much closer than one might expect. The price is reasonable, the colors are vibrant, and the quality of the performance is excellent. Is it possible to make a mistake? Price gets five stars, color selection gets five stars, and performance gets four stars.
When I work with young children as an artist, I only use Crayola pencils. I'm not expecting a masterpiece when I teach young children how to draw and then have them color in their drawings. It's a stress-free coloring activity for them. I can quickly teach them the fundamentals of warm and cool colors, as well as which colors complement each other well. They can also just "play," which is what kids are supposed to do. br>I wouldn't use these in my artwork unless I'm just doing preliminary sketches or coloring on the fly. I use Prismacolor pencils in my own artwork because they are of higher quality. When working with children, however, I prefer these because they color the picture well and can be sharpened easily. br>br>PROSbr>*Wide range of colorsbr>*Perfect for kids to color withbr>*Good for just coloring in the basicsbr>br>CONSbr>*Not creamy.
young artists a helping hand Crayola colored pencils were the most important item on my daughter's wish list when she was in public school. Add-ons are especially useful in this situation. I paid less than $3 for essential school supplies to be delivered right to my front door at the time of purchase. Crayola is known for its high quality, and the 24ct, when combined with the low price and ease of use, is well worth it. My delight was heightened by the works of art that my young daughter brought home from school, and while the colors weren't as vibrant as some of the more expensive brands, they worked wonders for a heavy-duty project. During her artistic frenzied enthusiasm, she frequently snapped more delicate tips. I can't think of any major flaws, and she was able to get by for the majority of the school year with these. I have no reservations about recommending these to friends and family (especially when they are on sale).
This isn't a bad set. My wife and I decided to give the adult coloring book thing a shot because it sounded like a lot of fun and something we hadn't considered before. I didn't want to spend $100 on "professional" pencils because I didn't want to. I went out and bought these, as well as a box of Cra- 72 colored pencils in an art box. To tell you the truth, I prefer the Cra- Art pencils are my preferred method of coloring, despite their low cost and reputation as a "cheap" brand. br>br>These pencils come in a small selection of colors, but they're all nice. My purchase did not disappoint me, but I will continue to use the Cra- From here on out, it'll be Art 72 pack.
Although the pencils were not marked as used, the box was bent and torn, and several of the tips were worn down. Multiple pencil marks were visible inside the ox, indicating that it had been removed and replaced. This was a huge disappointment. There was no point in returning it because the price was so low, but it was a terrible purchase.
