How Our Score Is Calculated

Questions & Answers

Are these the large chalks, rather than the standard blackboard size, that are suitable for toddlers?

They're quite substantial. They're 4" in length and 3/4" in diameter. They are designed for children aged 4 years and up. This isn't the same kind of chalk you used in school.

Is the glitter soluble in water as well?

On a chalkboard, I used all of the specialty colors, which erased and wiped away easily with a damp paper towel.

Is there a way to get them individually wrapped?

They're separated into color groups. That was certainly the case with mine.

Is it possible to use this on a chalkboard and simply erase it, or does it require the use of water?

It should work fine on a chalkboard, but I'm not sure about chalkboard paint. Water might be required.

These are the absolute best
5/5

With these, I had a lot of artistic fun. These are the absolute best. With these, I had a lot of artistic fun. LO has a great time, and they last because there are so many colors to choose from, some of which are glittered.

There are so many colors! I like to use these chalks to create artwork on the bricks outside our house because they come in a variety of colors for shading and the glitter chalk adds a nice touch
5/5

In addition, each crayon's points- Like chalk, they also allow for finer outlines and definition for outlines and definition, at least until they're worn down. br>I have a lot of free time, so sitting outside and drawing a picture is a great way to unwind. It's also amusing to have the UPS guy see the random chalk art when he comes to deliver a package. I'm not sure what fancy professional street chalk artists use, but this looks pretty good to me. I used to use regular chalk, which only comes in four colors, making shading and creating visible details difficult. br>br>After a day or so of your artwork sitting there being stepped on and such, the colors start to fade a bit, and it certainly won't last through rain, though I'm sure that's to be expected with chalk. Water was spilled on the picture I made, my dogs peed on it, and it was walked on, and the picture remained completely intact; however, a light rain made everything blurry and gross. With a hose and a little dish soap, it's also very easy to clean. br>br>I believe what sets this apart is the presence of black chalk! That means outlines, shading, and the overall potential for details, as well as night scenes that I never imagined could be done with chalk! I've already gone through half of my black chalk! I really wish they sold smaller packs of certain colors, especially black, greys, and white, because these are SOOO useful! But, alas, I'll most likely have to purchase another of these large sets just to get a few specific colors. br>br>A couple of things that disappointed me were the neon colors, which didn't seem to pop as much as I expected, and the red chalk, which wasn't actually red. It has a pinkish hue to it rather than a reddish hue. I found myself primarily using the "Sunset Orange" color to create red hues, which isn't to say I don't like neons or reds. The roses in my picture were painted in neon purple and red. br>br>I proceeded to add some images of the first drawing I made with my new chalk. Because it's a couple of days old and has been peed on by dogs, it's faded, dirty, and grungy in appearance. Tbr>When I finish my next picture, I'll probably update my review (if I remember) and add newer, brighter artwork photos!.

Fun that is inexpensive, lasts a long time, and is creative! My autistic 5-year-old son enjoys drawing large life-size train tracks around our backyard patio so he can run around and pretend to be a train
5/5

Needless to say, that requires a LOT of sidewalk chalk, especially since sprinklers damage parts of it in the summer and rain and snow erase it in the winter! I bought this box for him for Christmas in the hopes that we could have a lot of fun in the back yard drawing train tracks and writing names in all kinds of colors! He was so taken with it that he ripped the box open and proceeded to write his name on the wall in our living room. *sigh* Thankfully, a little water on a paper towel was all it took to remove it! In terms of kid entertainment, this ticks all the boxes for me. It is silent and does not require batteries. It's a FRACTION OF THE COST! It will keep you entertained for hours while also encouraging creativity and improving your motor skills. It encourages children to spend time outside and encourages them to use their imaginations. We love sidewalk chalk at our house because it's such a simple concept, and Crayola knows how to do it right. I like how it comes in a big box, which is organized similarly to how crayons are. In a nutshell, I think this is an excellent product! Thank you so much, Crayola!.

This is what you'd expect from a Crayola product
5/5

My daughter discovered a new interest in chalk drawing during her quarantine. We had a small box of crayola chalk from the past, as well as some other non-crayola chalk. We bought brand chalks at a dollar store. Crayola chalk is much better in terms of quality. Colors are more vibrant, drawing has a much more satisfying tactile feel, and the blend ability is incredible! If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the fact that my dog rolled around on the drawings and picked up a lot of the blue color. For a few days until we could get him a bath, he had a blue tint. But, thankfully, it's all non-violent. toxic. It was also a good topic of conversation at the campground.

is going to stain This is a great set of chalk, but be aware that it WILL stain your clothes
4/5

It says washable, but that refers to their footwear rather than their clothing. When using, make sure they're dressed in their play clothes!.

The Colors on the Box Are Not Accurate
3/5

The hues are primarily pastels. A few are a little darker than the ones on the box, but keep in mind that they aren't exactly like the ones on the box. I already own all of the standard sidewalk chalk colors, but I was drawn to these because they appeared to be darker. They don't last long and are easily worn out. My kids liked having so many options, but they weren't impressed with the colors once they tried them out. When I used it, I noticed that there was almost no dust, which was fantastic.

Crayola chalk is one of our favorites! I'm not sure why, but sidewalk chalk vanished from store shelves once COVID hit the east coast of the United States
5/5

Probably desperate parents like me who were looking for a way to keep their children entertained at home before schools were able to set up online schools. In any case, before I was able to find this set in stock, I bought and used a variety of other brands of sidewalk chalk. There is simply no comparison. br>br> Even other "name" brand chalk isn't up to par. Crayola colors are vibrant and show up well on all of the hard surfaces we've tested them on; they easily wash off of hands and clothing, and the box is far more durable than its "other brand" counterpart. br>br>My only complaint was that I received the plain 64-pack of Crayola chalk rather than the 64-pack with the four glitter colors. I'm still happy with my purchase; just keep in mind that the glitter chalk may or may not be included in the package that arrives, but you'll still get 64 pieces of chalk regardless.

It was broken when it arrived! The quality is poor
3/5

Over half of the chalk colors arrived broken before the clear packing wrap was even opened, which was extremely disappointing.
