The product you are holding in your hand is an activator for work with super glue on wood, then this product will work for you. The purpose of it is to dry fast.
A "accelerator" is what we are talking about. As a result, it speeds up CA glue curing is sped up by this step. My experience is that it seems to work almost instantly with CA glue with a normal viscosity. CA glue is much slower to work with if it is really heavy (thick). If I were applying the CA glue to your leather, I would slightly roughen the surface of the metal so the glue would adhere better.

We were completely let down from Bob Smith with this cheap spray applicator that is a total waste of money. You can accelerate by using the accelerator. Using super glue without an accelerator is something I will never do again. I have never had a positive experience with super glue before. When I glue, it gets everywhere, it glues the bottle shut, it takes ages to dry on the piece, but it dries on my fingertips in seconds, etc. * I use the accelerator to speed up the drying time, and After you spray the first half of the joint, you need to apply some glue to the other half and then they will stay together. Prior to the joint setting, there is a one second working time. In the event that you exceed that, you may end up with solid glue on each half of the joint, but not attached together.
I swear it's like magic that you only need a tiny drop to cure a drop of glue in less than a second with this stuff. It is highly recommended that you purchase a bottle of this if you do not use an accelerator with CA glue. When a bond is with someone or with no one, it is night and day. In terms of the way it reacts with Cyanoacrylate glue, it is extremely finicky. One dab of glue too much and it becomes impossible to adhere the ends of the rigging. A strong rigging line is less likely to move if you use this product to speed up the curing process and reduce the number of mistakes that can be made.
The bottle is a terrible one. Accelerant works perfectly. It works quickly, evaporates immediately, and doesn't leave any residue behind. That's exactly what it's supposed to look like. Although the bottle is one of the worst I've ever seen, it comes in very nice packaging. One must hold the pump exactly upright in order for it to spray, and it takes a few tries before the pump eventually sprays. You have to tilt it just *slightly*, and it will drip big drops instead of spraying. The bottle could be upgraded to make it a five star product. I would give it a four star if it were even usable.
I like it a lot. I am very pleased with this activator, and this will be my second bottle. My life has been made much easier since learning to work with super glue on a regular basis. There is no longer a need to count to 30 and hope it is dry enough to let go. It's only a matter of spraying the glue and walking You're good to go.
