Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the Duson v11 torque motor?

Yes, it will work with any Dyson cordless model that stands upright.

What is the size of the box in which it is delivered? Is it possible for me to ship it to the United States and bring it back in a suitcase?

I forgot. The two parts do not come assembled, so it isn't too bulky. It was crammed into as small a space as possible.

What is the charging cable's role in all of this?

There will be no issues- Connect the charging cable to the vacuum and place it on the stand.

Is it possible to use a Dyson V10?

I just got the stand for my new Dyson V10 today, and I'm not sure if it will fit. I have photos that I'll include with a review, but I'm not sure how well it will translate into words here. I assembled the stand and it appears to be exactly as shown in the picture. There isn't much to go on, only four bolts. When I put the v10 in the stand with the main cleaning head attached, I was surprised to discover that the head is too large for the stick part (and handle/cleaning bin assembly) to lean back or even stand up straight. The vacuum leaned forward, which seemed precarious and unstable; it seemed like it would be better if it leaned back like the one in the box illustration. However, the cleaning head on this model is significantly deeper (and wider) than the v8. I was upset about it because I really liked the stand and thought it would work with my vacuum, but I couldn't see how it could. I experimented with tilting the head up and over the front part of the stand, the part that keeps it from sliding forward, and in the process, I unintentionally planted the head on that resistance bar at the bottom front of the stand, which is supposed to go in front of the vacuum cleaning head in all the pictures I saw. The bar, however, was sticking up through an opening in the front, which I could see through the cleaning head's transparent cover. that the vacuum was being held in place by the resistance bar protruding up in the middle of the cleaning head- Instead of leaning forward, it was now standing straight up, which was much more stable. However, being in the middle of that motorized cleaning machine head, if it were to fall over, appears to be a dangerous situation. Is it possible that the cleaning head will be broken by the stand's bar? It is literally contained within it. I'm not sure what you're getting at here. It would be a lot easier if I could attach photos to demonstrate what I'm talking about. I wish I could contact the seller and inquire about this because, aside from the fact that it involves a metal bar protruding into the cleaning head's width, it appears to allow the vacuum to be positioned as it was intended on this stand, whereas there appears to be no other way. I don't believe this would be the same problem for a v8, because a v8 isn't as deep-rooted as a v7. The cleaning head's depth places the stick part that leans against the stand right under the stand, causing it to lean forward.

For this busy mom, it's a great deal
5/5

It arrived as quick and simple to assemble as it was to assemble! I saw other stands for much more money that had reviews complaining about how difficult they were to assemble. This is not the case with this stand, and I really like how it keeps my Dyson stick in place. Any vacuum attachments can be placed in a designer basket with a lid and placed next to the stand; after all, who wants a bunch of ugly shelves in their living room displaying their cleaning supplies? This stand, complete with a charming basket, appears to be ideal.

The Dyson v10 has a problem with the all-floors cleaning head not fitting
4/5

I'd give it 5 stars because it was simple and quick to assemble (I'm not a fan of assembly) and the stand itself is straightforward; however, I do have one issue with it that I believe is unique to the v10. I wish I could reach out to the seller and inquire about my issue. br>br>I couldn't get my vacuum to look like the pictures I've seen of how it's supposed to look when I put it in the stand, following the visual two-step directions on the box, which show how to position the cleaning head and then lean it back to rest against the frame. In most photos, the stick is leaning against the frame to support it as well as the weight of the heavy part with the motor/battery/handheld. Instead of leaning back, the stick in some photos stands straight up. br>br>My vacuum would only lean forward (see photos), which did not appear to be stable at all, even when the heavy part was removed. When I added the heavy part, it leaned forward even more and became unsteady. The cleaning head simply did not fit in the space behind the stopper bar at the bottom of the stand that keeps the head from rolling or sliding forward. br>br>Because of the size of the cleaning head, there was no room for the stick to lean back because the position of the stick was not far enough forward to lean back or even stand up straight. The head's depth was simply too wide and too deep- It's about 5 inches deep, according to my measurements. br>br>I was disappointed because everything else about it is perfect; why didn't mine turn out like the ones in the pictures? I tried loading the head into the frame again, this time with the front of the head against the stopper bar and the back of the head lifted up, and something happened in the process, so when I finished, the stick was standing straight up, not leaning back, but straight up was a lot better than leaning forward. br>br>When I looked closer, I noticed that I had somehow put the whole head OVER the stopper bar, so the stopper bar was now INSIDE the head, as This allowed the vacuum to sit further forward on the stand. br>br>I've been happy with the stand since then, as it's close to the wall and not in the way of anyone, but looking at the metal bar on the inside of the cleaning head machine, next to the roller, I can see how the vacuum could damage the cleaning head if it fell. I'd like to speak with the seller about this to see if it's supposed to stand that way because I know it's not supposed to lean forward with that heavy battery and machinery at the top pulling it forward. br>br>I noticed what appears to be a Dyson v8 in the box photo. I looked at photos of the v8 and v10 on youtube and elsewhere, and it appears that people wonder whether they should get a v8 or a v10, and there are people on the internet who answer the question by providing detailed comparison information for each vacuum. The cleaning head on the v10 is clearly larger and deeper than the cleaning head on the v8, as shown in the photos. The stand is a perfect fit for the V8, leaning back rather than forward. br>br>Another thing I discovered, which may be of interest to people with V10s who are unsure if this stand will work for them- The hard floor soft cleaning head, not the all floors cleaning head, is installed in all of the photos of a v10 standing in this stand. So, if you primarily use the hard floor brush, I believe this stand will suffice for the v10. I have a lot of carpet and very few hard floors, so I'd like my vacuum to be attached to and stored with the all-floors cleaning head. I won't be using the hard floors soft head very often, so I don't want to store it with it attached. I'd like it to be ready to go with the head for all floors. I put the hard floors soft cleaning head on my vacuum's stick and it fit perfectly in the stand. br>br>If I sit the vacuum on the stand with the stopper bar positioned inside the all floors head (see photos), it works perfectly, and I absolutely love it. But I need some assurance that keeping it set up that way is safe; the stopper bar inside the head looks a little scary to me, but it's the ideal position for the stand to work well with the v10's all-floors brush. There isn't anything else like it, and I'm hoping it will work with my vacuum, but I'm not sure.

I'm not sure if the base I got was damaged
3/5

The left side of the base is split below the attachment point for the upright holder; It appears to have been glued to the wall and then painted over. I'm not sure if this is true for all bases. how well it's held together, and how long it'll last. I'd like a new base or an explanation as to why this isn't weakening the stand; I'd return it but wouldn't be able to ship it without the label; I shouldn't have to pay for or arrange for the return of an item that appears to be broken but has been patched. Today I received my package. Thank you.

It does exactly what it says on the tin
4/5

This is a simple stand that does the job it's supposed to do: it props up the vacuum cleaner. The V10 sits comfortably on the stand, though a little higher than I'd like. I was concerned about stress on the head joint because it stands nearly vertically. Allowing the stick to rest at a slight angle rather than perfectly upright is probably best, and because the stand is made of metal, you should use tape or cushion to protect the vacuum where it meets the metal. The assembly is simple. Overall, it's preferable to other, much more expensive options or simply propping it up against a wall.

SHARK ROCKET IS NOT FOR YOU
3/5

This is a great idea, and it's a lot less expensive than other options, but it won't work with the Shark Rocket. The base of the Rocket is far too large for this tiny little stand; fortunately, I can return it and replace it with a larger (and more expensive) one.

With the Makita 18V, it works fairly well
3/5

GOOD: The stand appears to be well-made, matches my vacuum, and is simple to put together (it came with an allen wrench and an extra small bolt). br>THINGS THAT ARE NOT SO GOOD: On carpet, it wobbles a lot; on a solid floor, it works better, but it can be easily tipped over. For increased stability, the base should be 2" wider and deeper. Then it would get a five-star rating. It's worth noting that the Makita vac has a larger battery. The Stand becomes increasingly unsteady as time goes on. br>Edited: Originally published: Originally published: Originally published: Originally published: The Makita vacuum with the Cyclonic attachment fit perfectly on the stand (see photo). The preceding statements are still valid.

It's well-made, but it could use some tweaking
4/5

It was a very useful little device that arrived well packaged, was simple to assemble, and almost worked perfectly. br>Because my sweeper isn't a household name, the weight distribution must be a little different. My sweeper was a little tipsy toward the front when I parked it on the stand. I put in two stick-on lights. To redistribute weight further back, attach rubber feet to the bottom of the stand on the front. That took care of the issue. br>I would have given the stand a five star rating if it had optional stick-on feet. This product has made me very happy.

This is a great stance! For my Dyson stick vacuum, this is an excellent, stable stand
5/5

I was dubious at first, but it worked for me. I just wish there was a way to integrate the charging cable plug so that I didn't have to pick it up off the floor every time I used it. It would also be useful to have a holder for the attachments. However, for the price, this is a good buy. and without requiring a hole to be drilled in the wall I was so pleased that I went out and bought another.
