is the size of the posts this joins? In the description, the posts are described as being 1/2" tall, but they are actually 1" wide. This is a first for me, since I have never seen 1/2" posts before. ?

As far as their description goes, I'm not sure what 1/2" means. As they clamp to standard 1" wire shelf posts, they are great for use with shelf posts.

The best post clamps on the market. The rack I hooked together was solid as a rock because I used two for each set of shelves. The product is excellent.

A heavy duty clamp like this is very durable. There was only one problem, they were in the wrong size for my shelving (my fault), so I would have rated them 5 stars but I cannot.
