The two units come with the same structures/support built in, however the new units do not support the same weight and have a greater flex when compared to the old ones that I bought for 79 bucks years ago. I think it was capable of being a great product. The parts holding up the unit are made up of PLASTIC clamps which do not lock together. There was a problem with each unit regardless of how many we ordered. Due to the lack of communication with the seller, we had to file a refund claim with Amazon. It was a bit disappointing, but they did give us a full refund, so that's good.

A number of Trinity's metal shelving racks are in my office. It is the first one that I have purchased that is not made by Trinity. This product does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it's easy to move. As far as putting it together goes, that's my biggest issue. Black clips that you added to the bar before adding the shelf would not stay in place once the shelf was added. The one that always slipped out of place, even after being securely installed, was always one we could not control. In order to manipulate each corner of all six shelves, I had to do it one at a time. As I slipped the shelf on and held it above the clip, I pressed one corner into the clip at a time, maintaining a firm grip on the clip from the underside to prevent it I find this to be very interesting! The Trinity brand wasn't this problem for me. One of my shelves, however, appears to be a little bent, but it's hardly noticeable. You can assemble it for a reasonable cost once you get it. I also find it to be very useful.
